Need help with audio/video component

I got the AV component today for my ps2 and I can't seem to get a picture on my screen. I got the AV component with the 5 input cables. Green, blue, and red for the Y Cb/Pb/Cr/Pr connectors on my dvd recorder and the regular red and white cables for the video input. I have a normal tv but I can't view anything when I put a game in, I just hear the sound, what am I doing wrong?

well it sound like you got some of your cables mixed up.

try rearanging the video cables and make sure that the colors match up.

Yellow is the Video cord

red and white are the audio... just figure out where the yellow one goes.

hes using comonent inputs not RCA

Green blue and red are your video make sure you Y Pb and Pr are matched correctly on both sides
