I have a very old computer that is going to get trashed soon. I have a $600 program on it(PSP7). I need to transfer it to my new computer. How do I transfer it? What DO i have to do? What do I need. And I don't have a CD-R program so it has to be 2 computers connected. PLEASE HELP I DON'T WANT TO LOSE A $600 PROGRAM!!!

If you bought Paint Shop Pro legally, you should have the installation disc.

If not...

Take out the hard drive that has Paint Shop Pro on it and install it into the other computer. Connect it to the IDE cable and set it as slave. Go into Windows and transfer the program to the other hard drive.

Last time I checked, PSP isn't $600, but only $100.

. If you actually bought the program then theres no problem, stick the disc in and install the program, if you didn't buy it, got it illegally. I'm afraid we can't help unless you do what Viper Zero said.

[Edit] - You don't need a CD-R to transfer files, unless your burning it, of course.

[Edit] - Just removed the Photoshop part, I forgot PSP7 was Paint Shop Pro. :indiff:

VERY COOL. I do have the installation disc. Well My uncle does. SO is that legal or what? Anyways so if I have the installation disc I just install it onto the new computer?

Yes, if you've got the install disk and the serial then all you do is insert the disc in your cd drive, it will ask for your serial input the serial and let it install.

Well If I got this one to install with that disc I must have needed the serial number and it's been a very long time since I uploaded it so I don't know where it was on the CD. I hope it's still there.:scared: Thank you Viper Zero and sUn.

I'm not transfering Panit shop pro. Im transfering Photoshop 7.0...

Dumbo! PSP7 = Paint Shop Pro 7.0
PS 7= Photoshop 7.0.

Same procedure, it's just you will need a serial with photoshop.

You should try and salvage some of the old parts off of your old pc. Reformat it and give it some bios/driver updates. That would make a nice little imaging pc, or maybe even a small-time game server.
