I need some help tuning my camaro cuz I am tired of getting whooped by people who know how to tune

Show us your current tune soo we can help you and/or check the stickies at top of this forum . ;)

Btw Welcome to :gtplanet::gtpflag:

69 camaro

Chevrolet Camaro SS '69 - 584
Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 and RM - 565 how many miles are on it? You want to buy a car if it has 0 miles on it or very low miles(under200) then you need to do all the upgrades then change the oil, drive the car 200-250 miles depending on car and change oil again it should give you max hp.

First of all, youre down a lot of power. About 50. breaking in usually gives 24 or so. So I'm guessing you dont have a part or 2 installed. Sometimes when you RM a car it uninstalls something, so. Double check your parts list and make sure everything is installed.

Secondly. The '69 camaro's are SLOW. they run 10.2 - 10.4 . Online 99% of people are running low 9 second cars. So you are going to get beat my almost everything

I have a decent tune for this car, and I'm happy to help you with it - but my first bit of advice is, pick a faster car dude.

Fixed . :sly:

How about the 2010 model

Your best bet for a muscle car is zr1 ford gt no stripe or the viper acr 08....you can have the fastest 69 or 2010 camaro on the game and get beat by most of the slow acrs.I have a couple no stripes if your interested.

About the Camaro. I dont have one but look at the max HP and if it is low on the rpm scale then you need to set a high top speed, if its high then set it close to where it tops out about 10mph after the trap. If you have to set the top speed high because of a low rpm you have to use a manual transmission so you can keep the rpms low.

Thats the reason why so many people have issues with the Cuda. My top speed is well over 200mph, runs 9.7s all day. Don't be afraid to increase you're final to a higher top speed with muscle cars. For a long time most of mine were around 155ish. Bringing them up past 170 by stretching the final did wonders.

You mean stretching the top two gears out a bit ? Not final drive right? On a flipped trans there's no more room to stretch final drive.

Regardless of the setup on this car, the most you can hope for is 10.2. Its snappy from the launch but lacks real power to keep accelerating. If you want to play with classic racecars, try the trio of '67s. They are all under 10 sec at Indy.

I don't flip it the way you guys do. I do it kinda the opposite. I max my final, lower the top speed to min, 6th all the way right, bring the final down to a decent top speed. Usually my final ends up in the middle on the slider.

Yeah I was surprised with the MKIV

really slash? i always do it so my final gear is the lowest possible.

That's exactly how I flipped in my tunnel days, full flip and adjust final for desired top speed, for Indy though I do lowest possible final.

Yup its never failed me

Yeah I never got definitive results so I use old school techniques. No retro launch. light timing thats about it.
