Need some help with custom events, i keep getting passed, even on the lowest diffuclulty?

their is something wrong with the al, i am doing the datona oval with my 2020 vette, and i even tried it on very easy and my car is getting passed like its just sitting there, very strange but in career mode no issues? maybe a bug.

in career mode i play on hard mode with no issues, but on easy and very easy on custom event, the al takes off like no tormarrow, very very weird.

In my experience on some tracks AI behaves very weird. I guess it's because just as in previous PC games, the AI are still using a simplified car physics model. In some events I can get ahead of legendary AI by 10 seconds, and in others they do overtake you like you are standing. It is especially noticeable on 30 degrees corners after long straights. You need to break hard to turn in and not go wide, while they breeze through as if they are driving an F1 cars or something.

yes but something still is not right at all, i put the diffuculty all the way to very easy and i still cant catch up with them on a OVAL track!!! but on career mode i would leave them in the dust on hard mode.

I've noticed this too. AI gets more traction/grip and in combo with the drafting mechanics they are catapulted ahead. As long as you stay in the pack you're good, but catching up with the pack is almost impossible.

Also: on certain track combos the AI has lighting speed on snow/ice and wet.

Yeah the drafting on daytona can be tough in some cars. I found that when using the stock GT-86 against a field of identical cars and starting last I could generally take the lead around the end of lap one on the hardest settings. If the GT-86 was upgraded and field set to same class then it became very difficult from behind. If you did not catch up to the leaders quickly then you would not do it at all
