Need some tips/help

Hi,

Sorry in advance as I'm not sure if this should be in the questions section or not.

I have had this game since it first came out last month however I have really struggled to get into it. I'm currently level 11 on A class and 3 on B class. Its the first time I have played GT5 and first since Forza 3 on the xbox (it died, RROR, about 6 months ago and was fed up with it as was the 7th time in 3 years and the warranty for it had just run out. So got a PS3 instead). I really enjoyed Forza but it kind of walked you through everything. This is less hand holding and I was struggling to get cash and win races.

I have a MX5 and its fully upgraded but I was finding myself racing the same maps over and over to get cash to help pay for the upgrade so I gave up with it.

I was just wondering if anyone could give me hints on how it should be played. How to get cash to buy other cars to race in other races and generally do better. Just anything you think I should do to help me get into this game.

Actually you don't need to buy cars. You get them as prizes. Just do the Special events, Licenses and stuff you can compete in. From them you get new cars which you can race. There are actually about 5 cars in the game you actually have to buy for races.
 
Do the Special Events. The karting is pretty easy for newcomers and the Licenses are a good source of experience.

Look at the Used Car Dealerships too.
 
challenges are the best way to get money early on for sure. If you finish first, you get the cash prize for first second third. And it was said, you do get prize cars. they're ok early on to do some races with.
