what is a good tv around 30 inch, what do I want to look for?
Thanks

I would just say to make sure its full 1080p HD compatible. I think (but dont quote me on this) that tvs just labelled HD ready just means you can use your HD compatible gadgets on it but you don't get the top 1080p wich is what most people want. On which one to specifically get? Your coming up to the time of year where its best to buy a new TV so shop around a bit and you should catch a good deal. Try maybe HUKD.Co.uk they always seem to have a lot of TVs posted on there.

thanks,

Just to add you should look at the refresh rate too. While 60hz is okay the higher is better. I've seen some up to 240hz but their also 70"

False, there are plenty below 70" range. :)

This 40" Sony is a great buy or this 42" Phillips was just released and has gotten excellent reviews in Europe... for some reason Phillips is having a hard time getting recognition in America.

Unless you're sitting REALLY close I doubt 720p or 1080p is visibly different on a 30 inch TV.

I think you'd have a hard time getting a TV that wasn't HD ready at the moment. Even 15 inch stuff is HD ready these days.

I couldn't believe that they were selling 42 inch LG sets for £299 in Asda. At least when my current TV dies getting a superior replacement won't cost the earth.
