Insurers would like to ban in it from the insurance policies, but they can't, because the law says liability covers all public roads, and insurers can't exclude any public roads just because they feel like it.
Crash - It's traditional that the car that lapped gets the sticker, not the driver. Purist code!
Yeah, they try that here too, but over here the law is such that a liability insurance must include all public roads. And even though they want, insurers can't go against the law. Most UK insurers state that they exclude either the Nurburgring in name, or 'one way, derestricted toll roads' - which the 'ring is.
The liability was 5000 Euros, which is much better than paying for someone's Ferrari or a hundred meters of Armco. As far as I can tell, the nationality of the driver makes no difference. All they wanted from me was my U.S. drivers license. What kind of legal/insurance cover do you get with the Corsa? Now that it's almost impossible to get insured to drive your own car on the 'Ring i'll probably end up hiring again. More £££![]()
I thought about it, but nobody over here knows what that sticker means, and those that do would probably just think I'm some douche trying to be coolImakuniCrash - It's traditional that the car that lapped gets the sticker, not the driver. Purist code!

Video cameras are not allowed on the track, and steering with one hand while holding a phone-cam is not advised.
Not even suction-cupped to the windshield? A GoPro is tiny... you can cup it to the side of a helmet, or hide it in a pocket... ah well... next time...
