Hi Guys,

Below is our new business venture - NelSim Racer Sport Edition in White. Looking for comments. Not set pricing yet but will be around £500 to £550 mark which includes the seat but excludes the Logitech G27 ( and the driver too! ) It will be available in red and also a Clubman version which doesn't have the wheels, front wing, gear stick bracket or rear speaker wings ( not shown in this picture ) which will go for less ( around £450 excluding Logitech G27 ). 👍 looks nice and pretty original design

is the pedal plate adjustable? asking because it seems a bit steep to me. also doesn't look like you can fit big pedal sets like T500 or CSR pedals w/ inverted option

will you be making accessories? (keyboard, displays mounts etc...)

last question on first photo there is an arch holding steering arm, but not in the picture with driver - which is it?

only negatives:
- wheel seems very close to knees in the picture w/ driver - could be a problem for some - unless steering arm is adjustable, but it doesn't appear to be
- the price is a bit high when you consider the competition. think price should be more in £300-£400 range to be competitive

Agreed on price, pedal angle and wheel support height.

At rest, the drivers knees are hitting the wheel platform already. Any aggressive pedal work is going to wreak havoc on a drivers knees. Pedal angle may be ok, but adjustability is absolutely required (imo), especially at that price point.

Wheel angle adjustability and depth are a nice touch, but as stated, i strongly feel it is much to low as a whole, couple that with what appears to be no adjustability in the pedals and in ability to run inverted pedal sets would surely keep me from purchasing.

Take all my comments as constructive criticism, i am in no way bashing your product.

That wheel seems too low.
That price seems way too high.
That design seems great and original.

That's my go at this.

Also, I think that GTPlanet doesn't allow open advertising on the site, so you should ask an admin for permission.

here's what i think that needs improvement...

1. steering wheel its a bit low...
2. Price well spend a little bit more and get the one that was proven tested...
3. In regards to design it perfect and unique... but the color scheme it looks like its my friends kids bed... the color just doesnt work... you need an attractive color scheme or an actual F1 stickers to make it look more appealing.

I think the design is cool but 550.00 GBP = 891.868 CAD, a tad too $teep

agreed.... if you sell it at same price with playseat.... i bet more people would consider this... i say take the hit... make money later than trying to recoupe the money in earlier stage... i dont know just saying...

One of the first things that came to mind was my daughters old bed. Same one that was in grandmas boy. I think its the "tires". You need some "sweet rims" and maybe a cb radio so you can talk to other car beds.......erm sim rigs.......

Just playing around with you. Again please dont take offence ;)

If a business idea.

Not sure what your intentions are or estimated volumes you would like to be selling. I would advise against throwing a lot of money at this currently. Your design seems different to some but I agree with some comments Lunarwolf made particulary needing height and distance adjustability for the wheel.

At that price point you mention I feel you will likely struggle to get many orders. Very competitive but limited market to start with.

I SAY DO THE REDBULL COLOR SCHEME... just for fun... i would not sell it with redbull though... dont want to get sued by them LOL...

The first picture shows an additionally frame under the wheelbase frame and the 3rd picture not. Which picture shows the latest production view? Are the adjustments in length from wheelbase to the pedal plate together those 3 snap points at the wheelbase only? I think this setting range wouldn't be enough for people with longer or shorter legs as the average.

Sorry been so long replying to you all. The website is up and running now so you can get a bit more from that. PM Me if you want it.
In terms of pricing, we thought it fitted in nicely between the std looking playseats ( £300+) and the red bull ( £850+) one but.......

Development
The steering wheel height is adjustable on the wheel mount bracket with 2 positions towards and away from the user and then each of the positions you can go up/down 3 positions.

The height of the frame has been increased a bit to lift it above the users knees ( however I'm 5`10" and the only things my knees slightly touched where the clamping arms of the Logitech G27 which don't seem to be able to be removed? ) but note that the central section is only 4" wide as no one we know drives with their knees together!

The adjustment in terms of pedals is basically a hinged plate that allows the user to select from 1 of 3 angles. The longitudinal adjustment is made by undoing the black knobs at the seat and sliding the seat/frame closer/away to/from the front, plus the seat has sliders too.

There will be an arm for additional support of the main frame which will replace the `arch`. This will be on one side only ( same side as the gear stick bracket ).

The idea behind the wings was to have somewhere to mount surround sound speakers. We just thought it added to the uniqueness?

In its current format the design will not cater for the inverted pedals that are out there but we can't have everything, can we! Will look at it.

Colour scheme - well we tried to be different, rather than plain black!

Very original design but seems to pricey. Looks cool but the seat is to high or the wheel is to low. Also what is the bracket on the back of the seat frame for?

Will the "LCD TV Stand", found at the accessories section of your website, be mounted behind the pedal plate, because the bracket is high and the shape is rounded at the bottom? I think, if it is so, the LCD would be too far away, in cause of the restricted monitor size of max. 27"!

Edit: Ah, I found the description to this product.
The TV bracket is mounted directly onto the nose of either the Sport Edition or Clubman versions from the NelSim Racer Cockpit range.
I think it would be better to mount the LCD TV Stand as near as possible behind the steering wheel. The screen at the nose mounted position would be too small so far away.

Your legs foul the wheel and you're 5'10"? I'm 6'3"...

There is no room between the wheel and his legs. His hand is going to hit his legs when he steers with any angle at all.
