SNK and Plaion Replai have taken it upon themselves to recreate the NEOGEO AES. This is not a emulation device. It actually plays the original cartridges from the 90's. It also has HDMI out. Ten games are also being rereleased:



Personally I am very curious about the build quality. According to their marketing material it has "unmistakable and uncompromising arcade-grade build". We will see about that. I have preordered it out of curiosity. The original system and games cost thousands and thousands of euro's/ dollars these days. So it is kind of interesting to be able to get this rerelease for € 200 and experience what it has to offer. The games cost € 80.

I still have my og neo geo. But most game are emulated better nowadays. No reason to put money onto this for me. i would rather get an arcade cabinet with the board for full nostalgia.
