I run Nascar at Daytona nightly which puts a ton of miles on a car quickly. After the car gets to about 6000 miles it starts losing permanent horsepower. The car still runs well but it is nice to have a new, shiny fresh car. This means you have to buy another car for $500,000, install pricey racing tires ($36,000 racing softs) and whatever parts you want. Now you change oil for $250 and break-in the car for 200 miles. I usually let a b-spec driver run the b-spec Extreme Series Nascar at Daytona until the car reaches about 200 miles. Now you need to change the oil again for $250 to reach the maximum of 892 horsepower. Since the b-spec driver bangs the car up (and assuming damage is on during the b-spec race) I have been doing a chassis maintenance afterwards which is also pricey and perhaps not necessary. After that I put my tunes on the car. As you can see this is a tedious process that takes a lot of time, credits and electricity. I have a solution which is obvious to most but it should help those that are still learning about the game.
My method was to create a 2nd account and build it up until you have some money and you are able to run the b-spec Extreme Series. You will also need to send and receive a friend request to your main account so you can send and receive gifts. At this point buy, mod and break-in the cars you want. I bought, broke-in and tuned 6 different Nascars. When your finished, back out of the game and then back up your game save data to a USB stick via the Game Save Utility. Now you can re-start the game and send a car to your 1st account. After your finished back out of the game again and then restore the game save data from your USB stick to your PS3's 2nd account. The car you sent to your 1st account is now also back in your 2nd account's garage and can be sent over and over again using this method.
You should be able to use this method on any car that is giftable and under $950,000. If you don't want to build up a 2nd account you can always buy, break-in and mod the car on your 1st account and then send to your 2nd account to be saved for sending later on.
P.S. Cars that are broken-in, modded and tuned make awesome gifts for your friends 👍.
