You guys get the "American" spec suspension... we've got the "Euro" spec, so I really can't relate. The Fiesta drives better than a Mazda2 or a Honda Fit (here), with the main difference being that the Fiesta's steering feels like garbage in comparison.

Your Fiesta is apparently so wallowy even the old Honda Fit feels better. Which is downright strange.

Weight comparisons between the Sonic and Fiesta don't mean much, because the Fiesta has a tiny back seat. The Fit, on the other hand, is exceptionally light for its size.

If I recall correctly, wasn't our Fit Sport the "hardcore" model globally? I was under the impression we actually got a properly sorted chassis under that one. My driving experience seemed to indicate that as such. The previous generation Fit Sport I drove was definitely more of a pleasure than that of the Fiesta SES that I had, but compared to the basic trim Sonic LS... That was sorted out much better than I had expected, and I'm under the assumption the LT/LTZ and RS will be quite a bit better.

We didn't get the "Sport" model locally for the GE Fit, though the first-generation we got was certainly stiffly sprung. A hoot to drive down a twisty road.

I finally figured out what the Tru 140S reminded me of; the current Mitsubishi Eclipse.
