New computer...

Sweet. I dunno if I should get Crossfire because I won't be buying another card and 2 cards when we buy the PC is a bit steep. I think we'll end up using one of those sites where you can choose what you want, but they put it together and stuff.

Yeah, that sound good. Just get the X1900XTX, one card will be more then enough, should do great :).

Maybe when i will have time, ill put some detailed specs together.

Well, now we are definitely getting a new computer. My om is going to have an at home job.

We can write it off as a tax deductible so price is LESS of an issue, but that $6500 Alienware with Quad SLI and dual core FX60's is retarded.

It supposedly has to be a wired computer but has to have fast Internet, not necessarily the computer though. I recommended reformatting this computer and getting a 2nd hard drive to save all of her OTHER stuff on it.

Now, this leaves me with a question. What should I get?

I wanna see a whole build with prices and stuff. I don't know everything as far as what's god. Corsair XMS memory... AMD X2 processor... Crossfire if I can with a X1900XT... Creative soundcard, and 2GB of RAM.

I will vouch for the X1900XTX as being one hell of a card! The price is quite steap though. Should be around the $300 by this winter I would expect. Depending on what you got into, you should be able to get a build for under $1500 with the X1900XTX and be crossfire compliant should you need to add a CF addition card later. You can save some money with Onboard audio, etc and going with just a single drive instead of running raid. There are some budget ram mfgs that are good, but their not kingston or corsair.

Good luck.
