Improved racing sounds? Now i'm curious.

Awesome to see the Scirocco available as DLC, I like that car.

The Scirocco is a whole new car to GT5, not a variant of a current model.. :D

Why did they say Racing sounds rather than Engine Sounds :odd:

By the way, is it just me or DLC cost more outside NA? Does PD also have this $1 = €1 = £1 pricing policy?

About the wheels on standards, it just sounds too good to be true. How did PD managed to do this? and how it will they implement this? My guess would be that the wheels will be interchangable between standards like in GT4… It’s the only way I can think of it working.

Perhaps they will port over some wheels from GT4. There were a few that looked quite good, even by today's standards.

I'd be very happy with interchangable wheels between standards though, since there's basically hundreds of them to choose from. :lol:
 
I'm actually loving the DLC, have to get it this time.:D

New Mini Cooper, sounds fast.
New VW Golf, sounds fast.
New VW Scirocco, sounds fast.
And the real proper GT-R, no overpowered race car version, the extremely fast 2012 GT-R, 3rd fastest car on Top Gear, now for the Ariel Atom V8 and Lamborghini Aventador.:D

Edit: Turns out fact is completely wrong, but 9th ain't bad considering it has 500 BHP, which is relatively low for hypercars.

Exactly this. Why does there have to be more? I guess some people will never be pleased. The price is right and they give us free seasonals all the time. What do people want for nothing? Great job PD, keep up the great work and thank you so very much!👍👍👍
 
I don't care a freebie is a freebie, finally can change those ugly steel wheels off that mitsubishi and any car I don't like with ugly wheels. Take notice that the wheels on standard cars are high definition right now, go take a gander. Just as I had expected PD to do, work on the visual representation of the wheels then implement wheel change finally. Hope this goes for pretty much every car and I don't get something like I do with the premium F430, why is that car even there, not much you can do to it. Now next I hope they update the interior view to allow the outside of the car to be seen from the correct perspective thank you very much PD :). Keep it coming, I would like to thrash about on old Seattle and Red Rock Valley and the ever glorious Apricot Hill.

I wonder if the improvement is just in the way that exhausts affect the car sound... the racing exhaust is horrible. Standard exhaust to racing exhaust makes an ok sounding Corvette sound like a Civic with a fart-box (which is bad, kids!).

I will have to check for myself... does anyone have before and after pictures to prove the standard wheels have improved?
 
I approve this DLC and update features. 👍 Whiners and naysayers can simply not dl either, we won't miss you. :p
 
Since we will have improved racing sounds would anyone be able to make a recording of it now and then again after with the same scenario? That would be pretty cool.
 
Very disappointed with the DLC pack but looking forward to the new update.
 
I for one couldn't be happier. Those two V-Dubs were right at the top of my list for cars I wanted to see in the game (but I think adding those two probably means I'll never get my real car, the Mk V R32 :()

Wheels on standard cars? I honestly never expected that to be added to GT5 at any point. Amazing update! 👍
 
Yes, although my tastes have changed and after playing the game more I now prefer to race stock cars, I expected a little more variation. We now know though that polyphony can model about 4 or so cars every couple of months.
 
Cheap, cool, me likey!

Only problem is, I could have thought of much better cars to include than a new Mini Cooper. I also see that they're not interested in including any more American cars soon.

The F430 is underrated, and you look much more civil in it than if you were to drive the Scuderia.

DLC is small, but very nice. Especially Sciro R.

Update is awesome.

For me, GT5 is now, where it should be from the begining. Sure I can find 30 ways for small improvements, but focusing on big ones - this is it.

Also I don't expect drastic change in sounds.
And finally changing wheels on standards. For me that's the best christmas gift from PD. I don't think we will be able to swap wheels between cars like in GT4 and we will have to choose from premium wheels, but it's good enough.

Hey look, people disappointed with DLC. That's odd. :lol:

But anyway, I like the idea of the GT-R Black even though I'm not a huge R35 fan.
 
DLC and update both sound fantastic imo. :dopey:
 
The DLC, meh, I might buy it. What I want to know is if the DLC cars will be in the dealerships! If they are I will certainly buy it. And I wish it had at least one new track.
 
DLC...pfff...at least it's cheap...
But the update sound to great news.
