Yeah, so I've been playing GT5 since launch, but recently wanted to get into drifting. I'm using a DS3 as I can't get anywhere near affording a wheel(broke college student). I can't seem to even get started right. I hit the gas with the comfort soft tires and spin immediately. Any tips/pointers from the pros on here?

Thanks in advance.

im no pro mate but im getting the hang of it now alls i can say is slow and steady get lots and lots of practice youl get ther in the end and if your spining out straight away what car you using and what power has it got?

Using my Ford F-150 lightning fully tuned and that may be part of the problem. I think it has like 750 horse.

I recommend the Mercedes C63 AMG or Mazda RX7 (FD3S). These are great drift cars. ;)

yerr thats sounds like the problem and like what health_1 said the rx 7 is propbley one of the best drift cars on the game 'IN MY OPINION' add me im always online drifting we ill get some practice together if you wantt

I just started drifting last night.. I'd consider myself to be an above average driver and it can be quite a challenge.. but I came across something that is working well.

The old school Supra in the dealership! I kept it stock except the suspension and exhaust and I find myself drifting all the corners on Tsukuba pretty well; give it a shot.

Although a drifting rookie, I think it makes an excellent beginner car because I'm finding myself holding the sideways on the corners with ease; I've also tried the old school RX7 which also works nice but it needs some upgrades in order to stay sideways for longer periods.

Hoping I can learn this art; I got a fully tuned 370z that is just dying to slide around.

For beginner drifters, I suggesting trying to drift your car when it has less horsepower and slowly add mods to it. IMO I think this helps to drift a range of FR cars with different HP.

Haven't been on this thread in a week or 2. Thanks for the tips. Been practicing and i'm starting to get it.
