Loving the new features, although I don't like the fact that the friends feature reminds me of how many friends I don't have.![]()
That seems to be an odd way to keep track of your discussions, Robin! Thread subscriptions are designed for that very purpose, so you can check My GTPlanet and see what's new in the threads you have participated in. Remember, you can easily opt not to receive email notifications of replies by default (yet still enable notifications on a thread-by-thread basis).Just noticed something kinda major..... how are we ment to see our previous posts in our profile? I used it every day to rejoin a conversation which I had taken part in previously...
Oh and how do you see which threads you created...
Could like these lists be re-added as an option to have on your profile because it used to be a one click opperation.

I'm afraid that there is no way to automatically import photos from our old gallery system, it must be done manually. Before I delete those files, however, I am going to contact everyone who has uploaded images to inform them of the change. Profile customization options are found on My GTPlanet under "Profile Customizations" (I forgot this feature was globally disabled, so you aren't going crazy). How do we transfer exsisting galleries under the old system into the new one?

Oh and how do we do all this colour and wallpaper customisation which was talked about?
Robin
Yes, a feature of the default style that I forgot to change. It should be white now.
Oh well, I doubt anyone is looking at one and two year old ALMS pics anyway.I'm afraid that there is no way to automatically import photos from our old gallery system, it must be done manually. No, no, please feel free to re-upload them. I'm going to send out a PM to all gallery owners soon with instructions on how to get a backup of all your files. This should make it simple to put them back into our new system.Oh well, I doubt anyone is looking at one and two year old ALMS pics anyway.
I'll start fresh with my 2008 Petit Le Mans album.

Yep, looks good now, thanks.👍Yes, a feature of the default style that I forgot to change. It should be white now.
You know, if you go into your subscribed threads or even just My GTPlanet there is a NEW icon next to the thread title and it takes you to the first new post. Its just a habit ive picked up over the years..
So it allows me to go directly to my post to see the topic (where I read up to) and continue from that point. Il have a go at using the subscibed threads but now that ive got used to this its hard to break away...
I also have gallery stuff im going to move over, thanks in advance for the instructions on how to do this Jordan 👍

Not yet, but I would like to introduce something for groups and photo albums on the forum home page...Great stuff!
Is there a quick way to access our social groups from the front page?
Anyways, didn't done much to my profile but I think I've got the hang of customizing my profile.(oh, and ignore Turbo Lag's comment in my profile)

Yes, I notice that. You fail. Mine might have rubbish colours, but atleast you can read it![]()
Consider the alternative - hotlinking to an image from another server. It's one thing to hotlink an image from a post, but it's another to hotlink an image that makes up the design of a web page.I don't know if I want to complain about this or not, but its been bugging me a little bit. You know when you want to customize your profile and all, you could put a background image for each part of your profile right, but why the image has to be from out existing album in order to do it? Its kinda makes it a little hassle to find the photo, save it and upload it into our albums and only then we could use that picture for our profile.[/URL]
Yes, the "large" version of the image as shown in the gallery is the largest one that is stored by the server. This is how photo albums were implemented by the vBulletin developers and I don't have the option to change that. Also another thing I noticed was that the image uploaded to GTP was resized, was in intentional or there was supposed to be a full size view as well?
Oh.... well thanks for the reply anyways Jordan. 👍 But if I can't fill up the entire page with an image, is there any way you could change the way the background lines up? I have tested to try and put a background on it, but it always align to the top left of the page, is there any way I could make it placed at the center of the page?Consider the alternative - hotlinking to an image from another server. You'd think that some type of email notification would be a rather obvious feature, wouldn't you? Notice there are no email notifications for public profile messages, either! I've been critical of the vB developers for the lack of this functionality in their official support channels, and hopefully it is something we will see in upcoming software versions. On the subject of Groups - would it be possible to "subscribe" to them in a similar way to thread-subscriptions? Or at least get a small icon next to your groups when a new item was posted? With four groups of varying popularity, it's already a task tracking them down and noting which one has new posts...
