New Job!!

I have been looking for a while for a job with AS/400's to gain more experience having passed a couple of certifications earlier in the year.

Through some work contacts I have found a friend of a colleague who has a system operator who has taken 3 months off (for what reason I do not know). They have aggreed to take me on for a 3 day trial next week, paying me £15 p/hour. If they decide that I am capable of the job, they will employ me for the three months at £20p/hour!!! And who knows what will happen after that.

I am really excited about this although the high pay means they may be expecting more from me than I can give. All I can do is go in next week and show them what I can do to the best of my ability and we shall see what happens.

I think that the pay is probably in the right region for that work. Good AS/400 people are hard to come by.
 
Wow, there is really something in the air today! That's the third job switch I've heard of in about 2 hour, including the confirmation of mine (Leaving the place I've worked for since 1995 to start my company - make it or break it!)

Just thought I would let you know that I got the job and I start next Monday :cheers: The bad news is GTP is not accessable from there so you wont be seeing much of me :(
