Now that there are any number of level tickets available that pretty much cover all untradeable cars is it still worth keeping a cap on the trade limit?

This is in terms of the number of cars and the value of the cars you can send.

My opinion is ditch the cap and allow say 3 trades a day/account.

Your thoughts.

Happy New Year

I've always thought the trade cap was dumb.

And actually there is no trade cap because there is no trade...

You have to give a car as a gift and hope you get something back.

Imo the next update should provide a trade feature.

Great, now I look like an idiot...

What can I say, I've been distracted with Skyrim since before it's release and haven't really played in a few months...

Figures that's when they fix this issue.

I like the trde limit, but in my opinion it should be fixed a bit.

I think it should be a cap limit of 10.000.000 cr. That way, users can't trade exclusive cars like the 2 Ferrari F1, Historic Race Cars, Red Bull X1. However, if someone needs a LMP car for some reason, they should be able to get one.

e.g I've been trying for the past 30 mins to get a different coloured Veyron from a 2009 ticket.....when I could just trade for different coloured Veyron's.

However, it's not only that. The limit is actually 950.000 cr, preventing different coloured cars like Mitsubishi FTO STC, or Mazda RX7 LM to be traded. :indiff:

The trade cap should be 10 million. Or, alternatively 20 million once month, 10 million once a week, and 5 million once a day.

No, too much math. (And I like math)
Just raise the gifting level to 5 per day.

Well, in theory you could actually do 3 trades in one day using my alternative suggestion. lol

I think the trade cap is fine the way it is. If you want a certain car play the game and earn it the way it should be. Everybody wants everything in the game for free and not having to earn it. Remember you get out of life what you put into it if you put nothing into it don't expect nothing out of it plain and simple.

I like the trade cap. Keeps rarer cars from multiplying till thats all we see. What would be the fun in getting a new car that is supposed to be rare, but is now more common then an NSX or Skyline?

Have been discussed before elsewhere here, but here's what might be going on with the sudden introduction of the 1 trade per PS3 per day limit :

Initially pre-1.07 server update (2011 Feb 25), there was NO PS3 DAILY TRADE LIMIT. I believe the daily limit is by individual PSN Account only.

PD found out that we fans were creating multiple PSN accounts on the same PS3, and using those to duplicate cars (duping).

Which makes them wonder how long will the game last if they were to allow it to go on, because it's only been 2 months since game launch in Nov 2010 and more gamers are getting all cars in the game, including the RedBull X2010 (which then cause the Ebay Selling thing to pop-up).

They need to come up with a way to make the game last longer (for a few more year perhaps). Because they haven't even add all the in-game features they want and get GT5 Online to start making money yet !

So came the Game Credit and PS3 Hardware Gift Limit.

Now back to topic, with the daily gift limit we have now, if you can collect 1 car ticket per day, there are about 290+ Level 0 cars, not counting paint variations, means 290+ days to collect all of those in 0/0/0 mint condition.

Thats about 10 months ! Only for Level 0 cars ! I know Level 0 ticket don't exist yet, but don't worry it should come eventually 👍

PD says : Hey Problem Solved ! GT5 lives for at least 5 years ! :dopey:

And don't forget you need to put in some hard work Redeeming Those Level Tickets, you're not gonna get that car you want without a million tries dude :dunce:

So what PD and Sony gets :
  • We are encouraged to logon to PSN everyday. So they can promote PSN usage and keep track of everything we do in-game. Big brother business tactics :)
  • The Daily Logon Bonus is another good attempt to get us and keep us on PSN.
  • And the Seasonal Events with winnable Level Tickets and barbie suits (PSN Logon)
  • Once a while give away a free car via Online Seasonals (PSN Logon)
  • Maybe give a free car when we Online update to the latest patches (PSN Logon)
  • To send a car ticket, we need to (PSN Logon)...
  • See the pattern yet ?...

And you just wait, one of these days PD will introduce an Online Seasonal ONLY for DLC Cars, with a Special Attractive Prize that will entice every car collector to BUY THE DLCs(which now costs extra without the Complete Pack)... because a company really cannot survive without Bling$. Don't blame them. Just wait for it... :)

Disclaimer : Don't believe everything you read on the internet :)

One a day isn't bad. It didn't take me that long to have every car. Not all are 0/0/0 but I'm not quite sure why this matters for a virtual object anyway. Seems very silly. Why have a rotating photo of a fake car that you will never enjoy in the game? Dumb.

Personally i wouldn't mind the cap being raised at least a bit. I tend to do things legit, i want to collect these cars myself. I'm not fanatical about it, if someone sends me something I gladly take and appreciate it, but if it takes me ages to find that last Mazda MX5 in the UCD then that's fine too.
It would be nice though to be able to send someone a car and then later in the day when you find out someone else needs one be able to send that too. And I don't even dupe them first, haha. Honestly a big reason i don't really dupe though is because i'm a bit lazy and I just get the feeling that at some point I'll end up with a corrupt back-up and lose my save just so i could try to dupe that Daihatsu I wouldn't be able to live without.

(confession: I did once dupe a '67 Ticket to myself, and i use another account to b-spec sometimes. Oh and I will at some point trade if I don't end up with both a Petty blue color and Vitamin C paint chips to paint a couple Superbirds)
