I'd wait for the irons, any fitter worth their salt will book you in for a gapping session once they arrived and that can have some impact on wedges as whilst they won't be used all the time for full shots, gapping them and having the right continuation from irons is important.
Yep that's what my main concern is, that and I'd also prefer not to have everything new in my bag at once. I was careful in doing that between driver/fw woods and the irons.

I'll have a chat to the fitter when I pick up the irons and probably book in for a couple of weeks after that, at least gives me some range time and about 3-4 rounds with the irons.

Picked up the first of the new clubs yesterday, the 2 iron and the 3 wood. Immediately hit them on the range and am in love with them. Can't wait to get them out on course. Just the driver to wait for now.

New set looking good mate, finally got my original shaft in my driver and found some form, but now the swing has gone away from me, overdue for some driver practice which is really holding back my game 😂😂😂

Anyone here recommend a brand in particular for a launch monitor? Looking to get one for when I go to the range once or twice a week
Did you end up looking into this mate?
I didn't comment at the time as I couldn't give any advice (still can't) but could be interested in looking at one myself.

@Stavingo @Shaun

Rapsodo and Garmin are solid launch monitors for that sort of thing. Easily portable and not crazy in terms of price.

If you have an iPhone, Rapsodo MLM is a solid affordable and good performing option. Seen a few people using it, uses the fancy front camera on the iPhone, has radar, shot tracing, video capability etc along with all the usual launch monitor stuff.

If you don't have an iPhone. Garmin R10 is solid for the money or for a slightly more budget option the Garmin G80, functionality is a little more basic as a launch monitor but it also doubles up as an on course GPS/Range finder with full course mapping.

Also, I did another thing.

After telling myself I wouldn't, I ended up going for an iron fitting. They are doing free fittings in September as a Ryder Cup promo so figured it wouldn't hurt to find out, iron fittings are usually £50.

We hit Mizuno JPX925 forged and pro, Srixon ZXi5 and Callaway Apex Ai200. As you can tell by the teaser pic above, it was Callaway that won out, and quite comprehensively as well. Handily, my phone accidentally connected to their trackman and linked to my app so I have all the shots from the fitting saved to my app and could see clearly where the Ai200 improved on my Aerojets.

Spin rates, descent angles both improved as well and my miss strikes performances much better as well (they were removed from the numbers just to get a consistent baseline).

I didn't initially intend to buy there and then, and duly didn't. I got home and had a look at Callaways website and found that they had the Ai200 in the set makeup I was fitted for (5-AW) in the shaft I was fitted for (Dynamic Gold Mid 100 stiff) but they had them in an amazing looking finish exclusive to Callaway direct, and they had 20% off on their exclusives range which made it cheaper than I was quoted. So I pulled the trigger.

Callaway Apex Ai200 brushed copper. 1 of just 50 sets of brushed copper Apex available in Europe across all models. They look stunning, the finish is outrageous in person, retro Callaway logo on the toe, retro style Golf Pride Victory swing rite grips in a black and copper finish.

Hit the range with them yesterday, not my favourite range, quite the opposite but it is the closest (the balls are awful and feels like hitting rocks). Still felt great, if they can make those balls feel great and fly well then they'll be amazing on course, as I'd expect having been fitted for them.

So I've accidentally revamped my entire bag, except putter and wedges which have no need to change.

Excellent stuff @MagpieRacer , always enjoyable getting new gear.
The irons look stunning, enjoy.

My irons were supposed to be with me about now but got a call from the golf shop to say they are delayed. Apparently, there has been a big run for the new Titleist T series irons and Titleist are saying now it will be the 13th of October. Golf shop thinks it should be earlier, disappointing but it is what it is. At least I have clubs to play with so not all bad.
Lots been happening for me with golf, I'll put a post together later when I have the time.

Ah that's disappointing to hear, also not surprising in some ways as the new T series stuff really does seem to have hit the ground running. Especially the 250 and 350 models.

Look forward to reading what you've been up to.

New iron kit looks good @MagpieRacer

The dispersion chart based on your fitting made the callaways the most logical choice and everything aligned with the purchase, I would put that down to fate 😂

I did have a look but I’ve held off for the time being, may look to nab one near Christmas and hope a company phases one out on the cheap, I think the ones that caught my eye were the Rapsodo MLM2 and the Voice Caddie SC4 pro, but from my memory that’s more mid-high range depending on where you’re from 👍🏼
