It certainly looks ok, and if the original MOMO is too expensive, this might be right for you. (about 100$)

I don't know if it is compatible with PS2 though - but since all of Logitech's usb wheels are, I'm sure this one will work too.

I was a big fan of the gear shift, as appears in that photo, but now I've been running the 'paddles' on the GT-Force, I think I'd struggle to go back.

Two paddles behind the wheel instead of a stick to shift gears. One goes up a gear, the other goes down. It allows you to cycle through your gears without taking your hands off the wheel.

Formula 1 ... well heck, most any serious race cars have them. Even some consumer production cars do. The Ferrari F355 GT F1 has them, and the new concept Skyline does. There are various others ...
