-Nissan 350Z Super GT 300 and 500
-Aston Martin DBR9 (Basically LM?)
-Lamborghini Murchielago LM GT1
-Ferrari 458 Italia LM
-Porsche 911 Hybrid LM
-BMW M3 LM
-Honda HSV
-Saleen S7R LM

I know i went over 5 lol

The 350Z Super GT 500 is in the game, twice, as the Xanavi Nismo Z (premium and standard, different years, though).

The Porsche 911 and Honda HSV aren't anywhere near being in the game, so how can they convert them to LM?

Personally, I'd like to see:

- 2002 Turbo
- R31 Skyline (was in GT before, can't remember which one)
- AW11 MR2, something along the lines of the 222D Rally Car
- SW20 MR2, look up the SARD MCR-8!
- Fiat 500, the classic one. I remember one in Sega Rally which had the engine cover welded open, except that was a 600, but hey, same deal.

1-renault espace f1 LM (Epic of Epicness:tup:)
2-isuzi Bellett 1600 GT-R ('69) LM
3-Toyota supra MKIV LM (of course :sly:)
4-Tommy kaira zz-ii LM
5-Buick GNX 87 LM
6-Audi RS6 08 LM

Ferrari 458 Italia LM Race Car would be *swoon*

Not at Le Mans it hasn't! LM is reserved for real sports cars (Ford GT, Jaguar, Porsche, Ferrari, Viper, Vette, BMW).

No Corolla belongs there. Again, they should stick to real Le Mans GT cars. No fakes.

BTW, that "Corolla" has got nothing that remotely resembles a Toyota in the showroom, it's about as far fetched as the "Camrys" in NASCAR.

That's the japanese model of the Corolla (known in Japan as Toyota Axio)
I agree with your point, Le Mans should be reserved for supersport cars

DB9 lm race car

anthing so we can get something simular to the the DBR9 (which actually competed in LM)

Top Gear lap

Fades out a little quickly but there are longer (lower quality) clips too.

That thing is evil, in a very cool way.

I may be wrong. I don't believe an fto has ever appeared there either. Or an XJ220, GTO, Altezza (originally an LM edition). Yet, there are lm editions of each.

I think the LM cars are more a statement of what could be. The fto turned race car really shows this. It was Kaz's baby at the time and still shines in every game. I think they have been a statement of a vision.

Ya, all the LM cars are fake cars to create I guess the "what if".

Yep, and I don't like the fake "LM" cars.

I wonder how many Super GT fans would like it if PD made a bunch of fake "SGT" cars...There's nothing stopping them from doing that, is there? Or how about fake rally cars?

Would you like a fake AE86 Corolla NASCAR edition?

Stick to the real deal. We all know they're missing a bunch of great cars to begin with.

I suppose this thread isn't for you then. I think virtually all the cars in the game could potentially become an LM edition. The idea is that PD creates a race car of a sometimes mundane car and says "This is what we think this car could look like at LeMans." I think it's a great celebration of the spirit of what a race car is; a suped up car.

To answer your question to me, yes, I would love an AE86 Corolla NASCAR edition. Great suggestion, and in the spirit of the thread!

To return the thread to topic, anyone have any odd favorites they'd like to see?

The idea is fine, but don't drag the Le Mans name into it. Call it a GT1 (or GT2) concept. Let's not pretend to market it as a LM car.

Unless we're talking about cars that were intended to race in it, but never did. I.E. Maserati MC12 or the Lexus GT2 car...Cars that ended up as vaporware.

Who cares if they use the Le Mans name? Le Mans, or whoever the hell runs it, sure doesn't seem to care at all. And PD should try to make more concept race cars for different series like Super GT, DTM, NASCAR, JGTC, make concepts for all of these series. Half the time the concept racers are cooler then the real ones. One of the best things about GT is they can go and make these concept race cars with no real world repercussions, it's a fantastic idea and they should be making more of them.

Anyway the one I'd like to have is the GTO LM car. The FTO was cool but I preferred the GTO in yellow. Damn I want it back.

What makes a race car exactly? I believe that the only thing barring entry from lemans is the entry requirements imposed by fia formerly and now aco. These change yearly as much for safety as for innovation. Who knows what one might find on that track in a few years?

I'd like to correct myself, it appears the xj220 did appear.

I suppose, however, that you may have a point. Perhaps the moniker "Nur" with appropriate umlauts that i cannot make would better fit some of the cars. The 24 hours around the ring have a larger variety of cars.

Race Modification "a la" GT1/2 for more than 17 cars would get us that, LM style cars :)

I think the LM cars were special. Not just RM variants, but cars that PD thought would be cool as racers. Take the FTO as an example again, the body work on that car is far more than an RM modified car has.

Lol, I thought LM stood for limited cause they are made up. I don't think the emphasis in Gran turismo should be on made up cars. They have their place, but its in the shade out of the way of the real cars.
I suspect they are superior to their RM counterparts from what I've seen and read. I also assume that the RM's are based on what has actually and what is actually being done in the real world where as LM's are if the sky was the limit.
So being that they are all fantasy cars I don't see any limit on which cars could get the LM treatment.
Still its time that developers could spend better on converting standards into premiums.

So I did the 1000 Suzuka today in a gsx-r/4 and it was great. I think it would be great to see this in race trim. A bit of diffuser work up front and a better implemented wing....maybe a dome over the cockpit.

What say you?

Come to think of it,ther are a few convertables that could benefit from a hardtop. Maybe as an option in the GT Auto Aero section.
