When I go to a chat room it says user name invalid after a second of authenticating. I just joined so what gives? maybe not approved yet for chatting? I also wanted to start a new thread in GT5 questions and answers but was not allowed. Please advise.

also, any replies I have to threads need approval before posted which is taking several minutes, will this end at some point? Thanks

To answer your question about the thread in the GT5 section, users need 100 or more posts to create a thread. And once one post has been approved, you should be able to post freely (I think) ;)
Oh, and I think, depending how old your account is, you can't jog into chat 'cause of server stuff. Jordan, could you confirm this? I'm not much of a server or forum whiz.

That doesn't apply in the Q&A section.

So long as your posts are decent (acceptable grammar and spelling), and they are on topic you should be approved. May take a short while though.

Until your account is activated and your first post approved, you can't participate in the chat and yes, you will receive that standard error message.

I just joined and posted in the GT section - didn't see my post after so I posted it again by accident thinking it didnt go through (on my iPhone so that's common with AT&T service).

I apologize Jordan for the double post - didn't think I needed to be approved.
