New message when attempting to “like” posts

This seems to be a new thing when i press the “like” button on a post. It redirects to this page, asking if I am sure I want to like the post. Is there any reason for this change?

It's not a change, it's what happens if JavaScript is disabled or not working in the browser.

Some time ago I used to open (or create) links to like a post/status and it would come up with a similar message if the link was opened.

I always thought it was kinda funny seeing if someone would like a post they couldn't see. 😂

I appreciate that the site was looking out for me though. Really makes me think about the posts that I "like" and makes me question whether I should "like" them at all.
