Welcome to the final of season 1!

Start Time: 8:00pm in the UK​

1. Race 1: (Stock Race Lobby):

RX7 heaven 8 Laps of autopolis lakeside in the Mazda RX7 ​


2. Race 2: (Reward car race Lobby):
​

That will do GT2 8 laps of Donington national in the BMW GT2 ​


3. Race 3: (Reward car Race Lobby):
​

Now your gone GT1 10 laps of Monte Grand in the Maserati MC12 GT1 ​

4. Race 4: (Your car Race Lobby):​

All will follow the Apolla 10 laps of Road America in your Gumpert Apolla ​

In future keep an eye on your position. those who don't know there position at the time of DC will get no points.



Points are awarded for the races as follows:1st place = 8 points, 2nd place = 6 points, 3rd place = 4 points, 4th place = 3 points, 5th place = 2 points, and 6th place = 1 point.An addition 1 point is awarded to the driver who achieves the fastest lap in each race.

GTP SHIFT LEAGUE RULES:
To keep things fair a few rules are necessary.
· All drivers must use Pro Handling mode. We know what to look for, and it is not difficult to spot when people are driving in Experienced or Normal difficulty mode and you will be ejected from the group for cheating.

· No Driving Assists: No traction, stability or steering assists. If you want to use ABS braking that’s up to you.
· No cutting corners and chicanes.At least 2 tires should remain on the track at all times (unless of course you are in the process of wrecking your car in which case, have at it!). We can’t obviously enforce this rule in most cases, but try to keep the car on the track.
· Use of Nitrous is OK: Unless forbidden for a particular race

· Restart Rules: In the event that a driver(s) gets disconnected from a race within the first three laps, the race will be restarted. After three laps the race must continue to it’s finish. A race may be restarted only twice for disconnects to keep League sessions a reasonable length.

· Bump Rule: Any driver bumped from the server after the half-way point of a race will receive points equal to the position he occupied when he was disconnected. –Or- The driver may instead choose to re-run the race during the Sunday Make-up Race.

· Make-Up Races: Those who can’t make the Saturday League races for whatever reason may arrange to run the race on Sunday with any others that missed the previous day’s event.
The time and hosting of the make-up race will be coordinated between the participants.
A number of volunteer drivers to fill out the race lobby will be required to make the field the same size as on a regular Saturday League race.
Full Points for the Sunday Make-up Race will be awarded only to the drivers who missed the Saturday race
· A microphone/headset is of course optional, but highly recommended.
o Please mute your microphone during the League races, to prevent disconnects from excessive bandwidth usage.
o As a good alternative to a microphone, the Chat Room will allow players to communicate before & between races.

Shift League Racing Ettiquette
If you are forced off the track by contact with another car, you may hit Reset to get back into the race as quickly as possible.
If you go off the track due to your own driving error, you must drive back onto the track.
Drivers may not advance their racing position by means of contact.
If you make contact with another car forcing them off the track, you must slow down and allow them to retake the position in front of you.
Due to online lag and vague collision detection in Shift, it is very possible to accidentally make contact with another car and not be aware of it. Please show patience and restraint in the event of a collision. We all try to race clean, so give each other the benefit of the doubt.

Rules Enforcement:
For future races (2/20/10) when it is brought to the attention of the League Organizer (me) that someone advanced their race position through contact, the errant driver will forfiet his final race position and be placed in a finishing position behind the person he contacted.

It is up to the driver who was run into to lodge a complaint against another driver. It is not my intention to look through the videos to find out who did what to whom. The complaint must be PM'ed to me and the errant driver by noon on Sunday.

All racing incidents are different. Some occur because of faults in the game like poor collision detection, car location mapping and internet lag, but these will affect us all impartially so the rule will be applied strictly.

Ever thought about having like a TT chalenge before we race on a perticular track and use the TT times to set the racing lobies. It might be an easy way to keep the racing close.

Due to the amount of different race events this weekend the shift league races will start on the 24/04/2010
 
Addictions,

Can you tell me when will you post the details of this weeks races? As usually on thursday? Will we have 3 races per week as we had in the same time? I ask you because i have to plan a bit, this weekend will be full of races for me and I don't want to organize races for the same time.

The races will be posted later tonight. I'm planning to start at the usual league time of 21.00 UK but this can be flexible to suit others if need be.

Race Events added apart from the car for race 2 which will probably be the Supra. Amount of laps may be changed for race 1 & 2.

But I have a protest to register:

It's about the chosen tracks is it just a coincidence or aren't those the tracks where Mr President and Vice-President absolutely rock...:scared::eek::eek::rolleyes::D

lol arvore I know your only joking.
But just to set the record straight london river isn't 1 of my favourite tracks tokyo I hare nor am I to keen on the supra the Caymon S is ok and green hell is great. I think everyone will agree.
I think the results will be interesting, Things will be really close in all the races and anybody can win. I keeping my eye on javed this weekend as he's really quick now he's adapted to manual gears I'm expecting to see him in podium position in at least 2 if not all of the races.
And shark and mohamu will be tough to beat in green hell.
But at the end of the day It's anybody's race and with so many great drivers in here predicting the race results are impossible.
 
I will be in for this weekend but I am nowhere near fast enough yet I am still driving with my left arm and auto gears, the first half of the race should be ok but I fear my arm will tire for the second half :grumpy:

I Was cokking up some pressure on you to use the DLC Cars,in the weeks to come(we haven't used the Acura,Apollo , AlfaRomeo and the Stirling Moss yet) and tracks(Casino Riviera and Mountain Loop weren't featured also),and some tracks we never played in the previous League Seasons like Alpental:yuck: ,Autopolis Lakeside:scared:,the Ebisu Circuits(only once one of them at first season) Gleandale circuits(again only one once) and Horse Thief Mile:crazy: ...Mostly I think due to the fact they are the less popular tracks in the game and very narrow and hard to overtake but I like variety and challenges...💡
But hey these are just suggestions and again I always be fine with any combos you choose, like them or not:sly:

Don't think I will be on I have a tough week what with drivers off sick ect. Today I have done 2 days work in 1 again . And you guys know how much I don't sleep and It's catching up with me. I'm expecting this to carry on till the end of next week so I'll have no practice at all this week. Hopefully will we decide on which new driver to employ this week too. And after training him my work load should be a little easier as I will be able to concentrate on my own job, As opposed too covering for sick drivers then doing my job when I get back. 24 hours in a day just Isn't enough.

Well i thought it would be good to leave the DLC untill next week as it would be good for the people that still have not got the DLC to be able to race the 1st race of the season.

And we have never had those tracks before due to the problems we had with frame rates when we 1st started the league out so we never went for the tight tracks but yes we definitely should try these tracks the lakeside is a very good track with the correct car.

Good with the manufacturer races guys. No tuning, no test drives nothing. I am just gonna jump in and drive..........
