Which set of Rules would you prefer

Budget Tuner Cup​
(new name may be needed after decisions made)​

With the Gran Turismo 5 finally out I have decided to get some idea's for revamping my old BTCup for GT5.
I've got some idea's for the rules but thought I would get some feedback on them & see who would be interested.
I will be listing them as a) b) etc & will put a poll up to see which you'd prefer.
If you could please post your ideas & which would be your 2nd favourite etc so I can figure out the most interesting options.
All races & Qualifying will take place on-line & the points will be like F1 to make it simple.
Also for the top 3 of each class I will gift them a (premium) car of their choosing within certain amounts (to be announced later)

Possible Car Rules
a) Budget Related
Field is split into 2 classes.
Each class would have a different budget.
Eg, A-Class with a 250,000 budget
B-Class with a 100,000 budget.
Any cars will be available but you MUST buy the car no prize/gift cars.

b) Bhp/Kg Related
This would see the field split into classes again.
Both would have unlimited budget, Set tires (Sports tires)
Any Road, Prototype/Concept or Tuner car would be available.
Eg, A-Class with a 600Bhp limit & no less than 1250kg
B-Class with a limit of 3000Bhp & no less than 750Kg.

c) Bhp/Kg Related v.2
This would be the same as above but with a Budget for each class as well.
A-Class with 600Bhp 1250kg & 500,000cr.
B-Class with 300Bhp 750kg & 250,000cr.
This would allow any purchased cars to be used including race cars.

d) Other..
If you choose this option please post what you would like.

Also I've noticed I put an unnecessary "e" after both.. I don't know why.

 
Is there going to be anything done to gt5 online, theres no insentive to winning races. which makes it boring can we have some sort of league with points for winning races and 2nd and 3rd places. To make it more exciting going online plz.bit like there is on call of duty type thing

I was thinking that there would be a certain amount of races (6 or 8) that would be held online so we could race against each other rather than just time attacking & at the end of the season whoever has the most points would win.
Is this something like what you meant?
Basically its like an online championship/league.
The winner/top 3 of the league will get a car gifted to them at the end

It seems its 50/50 at the moment with 6 votes each. (Hope all 12 will join & race)
If there aren't enough drivers to split it into 2 classes I'll have to just stick to 1 class (which might make things easier)
I'm going to start thinking of a schedule of about 8 races so the we can begin in a week or 2.
I'm thinking a race time of around 10pm GMT (Sat/Sun) so then US guys will be around 12/2pm (depending on location)
As for the Prize cars I'm thinking winners will get cars ranging from 100k-250k
 
I'm in. How would you monitor the budget classes? I mean if someone made it obvious, as in driving a Ferrari in the sub-100,000 Cr. class, then there would be no problem, but what about more obscure cars with upgrades and such?
If there is a way to limit that, then I say both HP/weight and budget, but otherwise it might be simpler to just do HP/weight. Also, will we have problems since some of us are US and some a UK?

When I ran the BTCup in GT4 there was never a problem with the Budget. People just played fair & I would hope people would still be the same.
I guess at the start we would have to trust people & the cars they use but if there is a car that is outperforming the upgrades it supposedly has then the only thing to do would be to ask to get a picture/video of the car & its upgrades etc if they were cheating ban them from further races but as I said there was no problem last few seasons on GT4.
As for the time difference between UK & US as stated above if we could agree on a time of around 10pm GMT it would be around 12/2 in US which would seem like a decent time for people from all over the world to join in.
 
I love the budget idea, definitely would be interested in participating in this
