So i was reading a thread about what exactly changed about the aerodynamics and ride height...

But someone said something about it not being affected offline?

So is offline ride height actually changed in anyway, or should i just keep tuning my ride height like i have been this whole time and just worry about the aerodynamic change they made?

O.o Confused

Offline should be pretty much irrelevant, but that's just my opinion about the AI . If you mean Time Trials, then I still find that raising ride height increases grip, so it must be classed as online.

I gave up on getting a even race out of ai XD

i dont have online for my ps3 were i live but me and my brother compete in time trails.

So does this patch still affect how to ride height behaves offline? so me and my bro can have a more (realistic) simulation game race.. (update is obv supposed to make ride height more real)

are u sure? it still feels like it does something its just, what i did with my ride height pre patch feels the same as now

Just to let what i've said before more clear:
Ride height change the behavior of the car. Online or Offline, and not a few. This is a very important parameter. Now after 2.08 more than ever.

00/00 is very different than 10/10 or -10/-10

What does not change anything OFFLINE , is the ride height difference between front and rear. You can try the way you want , it'll not change anything if you stay with the same medium RH.
Like : -10/10 = 10/-10 = 00/00 OFFLINE
or -20/00 = 00/-20 = -10/-10 OFFLINE

This only still have a strong effect on the car behavior ONLINE ONLY.

FRONT higher than REAR = OVERSTEER
FRONT lower than REAR = UNDERSTEER

The same like before 2.08

-.- why would they make the online difference from offline different...thats dumb... but anyway

so if my car is say -21 front and -18 rear... that wont make a difference from the distance between the front and rear?

EDIT: ok im noticing any change what so ever... -.- my car still understeer / oversteers depending on how i have ride height, it just feels more loose in general

Thats what I meant you cant make the car oversteer or understeer by haveing different settings front and rear. So offline you should keep the front and rear the same. Now what ride height you use is up to you but GT-5 guys didnt like cars having a high front and a low rear getting it. So instead of changeing the mistake they made and reversing the settings they just turned it off for offline. Most time trials and what not are offline its a shame if they just fixed it where high rear oversteer and high front understeer it would all be good but they just unpluged for offline. So keep those offline ride heights the same for front and rear..

I'm baffled that you can actually make a stock car ride higher than factory specs. Like why would you ever raise the height of a stock car in the real world? To look ugly? To be more unstable? That is ridiculous. The game should have been like this; lowering the ride eight will lead to more grip on flat tracks due to the lower center of gravity. If the car bottoms out on the bumpier tracks, then of course you would run a higher ride height, but nothing higher than stock. That is ridiculous that the game does not follow this simple principle.

Ive seen real life stock cars on roads bottem out actually. lol

Things out were i live can vary from like some random truck or crappy sedan thing to a evoX or 350z or a bmw m3, whatever u think is nicer. (Seen a porshe once... but i dont think it was from were i live lol)

Friend of my bro's also has a RSX with racing suspension, while its not comfy, at least it doesn't bottem out. lol

also... i live in ohio lol.

Wouldn't you think that street cars tuned for rally racing, should be able to set a higher ride height than stock...:scared:

Think of 0/0 ride height on full custom suspension as some arbitrary ride height that is not necessarily the cars original factory ride height. If you max ride height, it still is not necessarily higher than the cars factory ride height.

As for race cars, 0/0 ride height is definitely just some arbitrary ride height. Any adjustment between min and max ride height is legitimate, just go with whatever works.

Online I feel better with a lower height on flat tracks, just saying.
