It's simple!!
A very good friend of mine created a new website. He asked me to "evaluate" this new website. I'm probably not the "right" person to do so, so I asked him if I'm allowed to put a link here so that you guys/girls can start evaluating. Please keep it polite!!! Any info concerning layout, grammar, spelling, content, style, if it's well-organized etc... is welcome
linky to...

Thanks :)

It looks nice, and the code is very neat. Although I think that creating an individual <div> for each of the menu buttons is probably overkill.

I have to say I hate the Courier Italic "News" headline. Quite out of keeping with the rest of the site, and I wonder if it's actually a system substitution for a non-standard font.

I'm not sure why the site references the standard style sheet in an editable region of the template: surely the standard style sheet is one of the things that you don't want to change from the template!

None of the links work, not even the "Home" link. Interestingly, I get "101 Network unreachable" for all of them, rather than the "404 Not Found" or "403.1 Forbidden" that I would expect, so I wonder if the web server has been configured properly.

Your friend needs to put in some <meta> tags to make the site more accessible and more likely to be indexed by search engines. Again, I would be likely to put these in a non-editable region of the template to ensure that they are common and replicated across the whole site.

Thanks. :)
I'm going to relate this first evaluation to him.

What about other things, besides the technical part???
You can see a link at the bottom right-hand-side to submit your comments directly to the persons that created this website.

Generally design-wise it's quite nice. I like the way the submenu sticks out to the left (although at first i thought it was a browser error) and the colours and layout of content are quite attractive.

I don't like the way the main menu moves from the middle-ish area on the homepage to the top-ish on all the other pages. And i not overly keen on how the menu items look; they come across as a little unprofessional.
