New Racer...considering a used T-GT, no Forza? Opinions needed

Hello

I'm considering buying a T-GT from a friend for a decent price. I've read a lot of issues with racing wheels having issues and I'm hesitant to buy anything used without a square trade warranty (or other warranty).

Also, I plan to play everything on PC and of course they excluded everyone who uses a T-GT from playing Forza 7. I don't NEED Forza (never palyed it), but I'm under the impression it's one of the best games to have.

So I guess I'm trying to ask about how these wheels hold up and if the T-GT would be a mistake for PC player.

Thank you.

The T-GT should work with Forza 7 on PC. If it's not directly supported it should still be recognised as a T300.

Regarding the wheel, it really depends on the price and the amount of use it's had. Another consideration would be how good of a friend is this person. Would he be fair and offer you a trial period, or some kind of limited warranty (1-3 months, anything really)?

I never buy second hand wheels myself but have had no issues so far with my T-GT, which I've had since they were first released. I've also still have my T500rs, which I've had for years, with no issues except some broken springs in the pedals, but I have driven over half a million kilometres with them :D.

It isn't entirely clear in your first post, so I have to ask: would you be using the T-GT with a PS4 and GT Sport as well?

If not, I'd say to look at another wheel. A good chunk of the T-GT's features are only accessible in GTS, which means it's roughly equivalent to a cheaper Thrustmaster wheel on other games.

It really depends on the price he's getting it for. He mentions PC use and I've seen the rotary dials being used on PC for other games in youtube clips, so I think it's only the T-DFB that doesn't work on any other games except GT Sport.

Side note: On PS4 it's the rotary dials as well that don't work on other games.
