New "Random" track choice

Has anyone else noticed that when you are playing online and the host calls a track vote, that whenever the majority of people vote for Random (world circuit) the track always ends up being either Circuit de la Sarthe (no chicanes) or Nurburgring Type V. So much for random:tdown: Yet another error that PD need to fix:grumpy:

I don't see a problem with this. These are two of the best tracks. :D

Well, what's the use of the other tracks then? I mean, it's nice for some varieties sometimes with rarely used tracks, like Cape Ring and Cote D' Azur. It's quite nice to drive on a different track once in a while.

That's not the problem, the tracks are cool but, my point is, it's not random at all. If I wanted to go to either of those two tracks I 'd simply vote for them. Although now I can just vote for random (world circuit) and I know it's gonna be one of those two:dopey:

I understand that, but how do I know that maybe it is just a coincidence that these two tracks have been chosen many times? How about you run a test of 20 random track choices in an online room and come back with your results. There is really no use in addressing a problem if you can't even prove it exists. Show me some proof, then we'll talk.
 
I was in a room today that had 4 random votes out of 7 players & the track changed to some gravel place, was fun with the pace car on gravel tyres though. :)
 
There is no true random possible with a computer programme.

I think it's just that there are not as many world circuits. So it seems like there's less variety in the random selection... because there is to begin with.

Side note: Random world circuit is a poor vote choice in low pp shuffle race rooms. :lol:
The host forgets to reset the laps, and then you wind up in slow crappy cars on Sarthe or Monza for 25 minutes... you start the race w/ a full grid, and by the end of it, there's just the 4 of you spaced out around the track Sunday-driving.

RE: Pace car on gravel track. That sounds great!!!! :D I'm going to try that!
