Wow.

I didn't expect a cover like this :

But I must admit it still looks pretty. 👍

And I see we might be getting bicycles. :D

I really like the west coast style.

Ooooh, nice wallpaper. 👍

They look really good. I don't think I'll like the storyline though.

First off... under18carbon that isnt the official box art.. and for Blake how could you not like the storyline if you havent even played it and for that matter it hasnt been even released on how the story line would be... To me its most likely going to be in todays timeline and yea I myself like the west coast style and I personally think its going to be a great game overall...

it looks fun and all, but in the official screens I got an email about today (only three REAL ones... the rest were art.. -_-) the green car (the one he's in in that shot) looks like the Greenwood from VC...

screen03.jpg
<<--- its small, but its by that house on the right side of the pic...

It'd be really cool to have a "friend" or somthing in there to drive the car so you could just shoot around haha

I'm and East Coast Southerner, and i hope not every aspect of the game is 'West Coast Gangsta' style. so far i think that RockStar has done a good job of mixing it up and having a little bit of everything. For me, i think it would hurt RockStar to basically have one 'theme' for everything. And, yeah, Vice City was a little to bright and happy. I think that's why i still like GTA3 better. I'm not sure how the story line is going, but now i'm a little leary.....

oh, and NO i don't want a GTA: RedneckVille!

Why are 2 cars from VC in SA? Looks like someone modded VC.

Cars from GTA3 that are in VC

Stallion, Moonbeam, Manana etc etc Many of them carried over and I wouldn't be suprised if many VC cars carried over.

I basically meant I don't really like the West Coast gangsta style.

Yeah but they didnt look exactly the same.

Pretty much!

And the Greenwood also looks touched up in the screenies!

Hey it's meant to be a bit poorish right, so maybe they've still got some 80s cars in there? ;)

It would be cool to be able to ride around on a bicycle.

It would be VERY cool to ride on a bike. I guessed they would have that in Vice but they have it in san an.

Well Vice City was bright and happy because down in florida its bright and happy  and Liberty City was based on New York so yea it'll be very rainy and dark just like New York with all the tall building etc... I mean be realistic, they are making the game to fit the place there at, like I said VC was a recreation od Miami, bright sunny lots of colors and great place to be, LC based off of NY, dark, grimmy, dirty, tall buildings, lots of grays... so for Cali it will proably be a mix of both, lots of sun and bright colors some places, not to bright in the more "ghetto" areas....

Well during that time the "west coast gangsta style" was big so makes sense to do this, but hopefully (not being racist) its not all black people, maybe it'll be a mix of black, mexican, asian, just something along the lines of GTA3 but not so many white people :P anyways i'm likeing it so far witht he little info they gave us and well I think its going to be a great game overall...

Just think, GTA3 had some gangs of diffrent nationalities, and the mafia...... GTA VC, had some mafia, a few gangs, poloticians etc... so maybe now in GTA SA, they'll have lots of gangs (black, asian, mexican etcc), corupted cops.. so deff theres a little difference between each game...

i was thinking of this last night:
How are they going to make the outer boundries? Mountains? everything else has been islands, which makes it easy, but i'm a little curious how they are going to do San Andreas... you can't exactly make that an island.

[edit] Okay, the below paragraph was written before i read the LATEST San Andreas update, so okay, i guess the cars will go from VC to SA. But still, of course they will reuse certain cars, that is only logical. [/edit]

Oh, and OF COURSE there will be some of the same cars. but they will go from GTA3 > GTA:SA. not from VC to SA. remember that VC is before GTA3 and i think that SA is going to be basically same time period of Liberty City, not before VC. i don't think there would be a big market for a '70's hippie game.

I would love to see a 70's style GTA game. You know, the 70's wasn't all about 'hippies'. I believe the term 'hippies' was used during the 60's, but you knew that too, right?

Post Viet Nam, decline of Soviet power, muscle cars, high gas prices, last moon mission, Mars probes, Skylab, Watergate, Bicentennial, first personal computers, Middle East conflicts, the Walkman, etc., etc., etc.

How are they going to make the outer boundries?

On the Past two games there has been an invisible wall a bit out to sea, i imiaging there will be an invisible wall a bit out of the city areas.

They could quite easily just have rivers separating the cities, with bridges crossing them, and then they could just close the bridges like the did in the last two games. I doubt they will just have invisible walls that you hit while driving along an open road, given how realistic they are seem to be trying to make everything.

They took them offline,damnit.

I didn't mean invisible wall seperating the cities. I imagine that will be caused by an earthquake. I mean the very outer boundries, where you can go no further!

I don't know why there is all this discussion on boundaries--it will likely be islands (like VC and III) -- Miami (Vice City) is not an Island-- no reason why SA can't be the same.

I imagine SA will be like III mostly-- 3 areas representing Oakland, San Francisco, and North Bay (Sausolito) with a few islands sprinkled in (Angel Island--between Oakland and SF) and there will have to be an Alcatraz "The Rock" -- I'm guessing it will be a functioning prison though.

Of course this is all pure speculation......

According to the stuff posted from the GameInformer exclusive, based on an interview with Sam Houser, the game is going to have 3 cities, one based on Los Angeles, one based on San Francisco and one based on Las Vegas with countryside and desert in between, so I don't think it'll be islands. They could just stick mountains at the map edges. I think in True Crimes they just designed the city with no roads leading out and buildings surrounding the map.

No offence, but if you have read any of the thing Rockstar have released you would realise that San Andreas is going to be a state with Los Vegas, Las Angleles and San Fransisco (based on) cities, each about the size of vice city with an area of county side (about the size of vice city) seperating them, the map will be about 6 times the size of vice.

I think an eathquake will stop yuo from progressing from San Fransico (assuming that's where you start) but I have no idea what will stop you going on to the next city.

I would have used the names Rockstar released but I can't remember them so I'm just using the cities real names.

Well true each city will be the size on Vice city, with country/desert to seperate each one, sooo it might just be one big island with a few out in the ocean... but boundries who knows what they'll do...
