Second to the F1 2 times in the RX7 TC (625PP) on race hard. Then switched to RS and won easy. (no SRF ever)

The F1 was miles (literally) ahead of the 2nd place AI. I passed the 2nd place car well before Karousel even when I never caught the F1.

Done quite easy with Nissan GT-R 35 TC, set with Priano's Tunes. Piece of cake 👍

damn, the Nurburgring race is hard as 🤬 :ouch: I'm using a Chevy Corvette ZR1 RM, the best I could do is +12.xxx seconds behind the McLaren F1 GTR.., hate that car when it shows up, very hard to catch up to..,

to anyone here who has won the race, any help would be appreciated 👍 :)

So this is the new grinding seasonal?
I think so. Similar payout to the mythical Sarthe Cavalino
1million in 6.30mins
(Sarthe was 504000 for 3.30 mins)

However, this one is so much better. I've just been working my way through various cars, bringing the PP down a little each time, when I noticed the Jag XJ13 in the pack. Having a bit of that!

So I got the XJ13 out (in XJR9 purple) - it was fully loaded and, yes, I was running RS tires...but even with RS it was very slippy.

The first 2 tries I came second - 6.32 and 6.30.
The third try was the one. Very lucky with the passing places, made excellent time and overtook the MaccyBMW just before the Bilstein bridge and lo-and-behold I didn't lose it in the final chicane!!!
Put in a 6.23.xx.
Not the fastest of times but that didn't matter. I pumped the sound through the stereo and whacked it up to 11! Pure magic!
Cockpit view as always. No gear indicator. Only ABS 1, and tranny - 228mph I think or there abouts.
Try it - it's the best experience I've had. I remember now why I play GT5!!👍

I'm sure I can smell engine oil and leather upholstery now!!

first try on the nurburging and won easily
used the Nissan GT-R TC, kicked the zonda's butt too
its actually pretty amazing how FAST that thing actually is, the GT-R TC seems slow when driving - no real sense of speed in my opinion, but the lap times show something VERY different

yeah so I just got my G25 two days ago and I pretty much did the first two no problem, but a 650pp + nurburgring absolutely KICKED my butt haha. I was a minute behind 1st place ><
I'm dreading that even, but hey, practice makes perfect :)

Thought as much

So do people generally match up car for car in terms of tyres etc when doing the seasonals to make it a challenge ?

I do. There's only a a spec seasonal every other week now, so what's the point of rushing it?

Had another go at the 650 Nurby event.

Used my B Spec drivers R8 LMS workhorse... Once upon a time it was new.

Now it has 18,000miles and 549 race wins. and Oil so black you think it was lubricated on chunks of coal. (531bhp - 52 euro torques 1300kg 598pp)

I took it out, but the car was all over the show. Race Softs and it was handling like the chassis had turned into jelly. (Stock suspension)
Managed to pick up places once I, literally, got to grips with the lucky bag handling of the car. No spinsbut at times it felt more like a Lancia on bias-ply tyres

I closed up on the lead McLaren GTR, that big long up hill straight had my silver Audi puffing like it was fueled with chunks of coal too. Second place but still a filthy amount of moolah.

I put another coin in the arcade game and tried again.

Repeating the same grid and made a much better job of slicing through the traffic. Soon past the ZondaLM (2nd), all I had to do was nail the McLaren... I must have eased back as I only just managed to get a slipstream after Galgenkoph and just just slingshot ahead. The McLaren was all over me like a Badly fitted race suit... but alas I got a Carbon 27 skid lid for my troubles and...

One Million Dollars

Good to win in such a terrible car... Still amazed how black the oil was... I'll have to see what I could get if I had a spare 250credits for some fresh organic superlube.

My AI McLaren was runnign 6m28 - 6m29 lap times.

I have tried the 650pp race with a few diffrent cars

TVR Cerbera Speed 12 00

What a roller coaster had to fight all the way managed to get first place against the Ford GT lucky it was that car as if it was the BMW Mclaren F1 i wouldnt have caught it.
Review of race/car great fun hard to handle but wow worth it for the battle.

Zonda LM Race Car

Very easy with this car i took 1st place around 3 mins into the race and never looked back this was against the BMW Mclaren F1
Review very easy if you want easy exp and cash use this car want a chalenge dont use it.

Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car 98
Took 1st place around 3 mins and never looked back.
Review In my opinion the best car to do this race in for beginers or easy exp/cash

Zonda C12S 7.3 02
Hard fight for 1st place on the corners it burns the tires a little too much and spins are going to happen if you are not light on the accelerator.
Review Great fun this car has power to burn and if your not carefull no tires lol go have a blast and try it.

Other cars i have used at 650pp or below that got 1st place

Ford GT LM Race Car
Lamborghini Nomad Diablo GT-1 00
Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II
Mclaren F1 94
Zonda R 09
GT by Citreoen Race Car
Nissan GT-R R35 TC

I will be trying out some 600/630pp cars and will post back details.

Impreza Super Touring Car 600 pp
Two attempts came 2nd both times to the BMW Mclaren F1 GTR best lap time i got was lap time of 6:34
Review car does well in the corners and with some tunning/good racing i think it could win

Honda Raybrig NSX 06
Diddnt take long to get into 2nd place but what a fight for 1st place i diddnt take 1st place until a few corners before the long straight and had to hold of the BMW F1 GTR on the straight final few turns i streached the lead a little but was great fun in a car that handles really well.
Time 6:25.698 and the BMW GTR 6:27.674

Did 6'30.029 with the zonda Lm .770 ahead of the McLaren with sixasis
Quite a ride, I love the track, spent the last months of Gt4 doing the slr challenge over and over...

Ran the ring with the Nissan GTR n24 schulze sports, stock except for a high rpm turbo, and RM. Catching the Zonda wasn't an issue, but the McLaren, 8 seconds was as close as I could get. Reset, and drew only the GT40, passed him at around 3 minutes, and won by 12 in 6:38

Took the turbo off, and with the same group, ran a 6:50, and passed the GT40 in the long straight, won by 2.0. Started playing with the tires and turbo/no turbo, and with 600pp or greater, I could beat them going away.

So, let's reset and try that pesky McLaren again!

Got within 3 secs of the McLaren in one of my better drives, woulda got him but for the Zonda running interference and blocking me cold on several occasions, took ages to get past it.

Then won in 6.54 :D by 2 secs over the Mark IV in a rat race, just couldn't get any rhythm with the AI making life hellishly difficult.

I've used the cars I always use with these PP limits:

400pp:
Toyota MR Spyder (6mt) - completely stock 385 pp - Comfort Soft
Won from the Honda Accord with 1.8 secs to spare

500pp:
Shelby Series 1 supercharged - completely stock 493 pp - Sports Hard
Won from the NSX with 5.8 secs to spare

650pp:
Dodge Viper Team Oreca #51 - completely stock 630 pp - Racing Hard
Won from the Ford GT LM Race Car with 1.1 secs to spare

I always use these cars for those limits, never fails...

For my Level 8 ticket, I got the Lancer Evo VIII MR GSR. Which was a car I was actually fishing for in the UCD the last couple of months, so I'm pretty pleased :)

This is my favorite seasonal yet I think. High payouts and very fun tracks.

In the Tsukuba race, I used a Citroen C4, but after about four second place finishes I decided to add a racing air filter and a new exhaust manifold, plus a fully customizable transmission because I was just not accelerating how I wanted. A bit shamed of having to do this but oh well.

Cape Ring race was my favorite of the three, just because Cape Ring and all of it's variations are surprisingly easy for me, and I got to use my nice red Challenger, completely stock, with a beautiful roaring engine, and I won no problem.

Hovever, Nürburgring race is a struggle. My best I believe was a 3rd place finish, and it was in a Ferrari Enzo, once again admittedly, heavily upgraded. At first I tried a Pagani, but 5th was my best. One thing that really makes me mad is how narrow the track is and how the AI slowly swerve back and forth on a straight. I have been ready to pass cars then the slightly turn and i hit their bumber and off into the grass I go.

So what has this seasonal taught me? I suck at driving.

Well that was easy!

400 pp : VW Golf VI R '10
500 pp : Renault Clio V6 24V '00
650 pp : Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car

I'm not particularly good, so I'm a bit surprise people having any problem at all with the Nurburgring race. Won by some 20 seconds. Was in the lead by Bergwerk and never looked back. Guess I got lucky on the opposition. No McLaren in sight.

I used the clio as well and won by loads, great little car, well done on nurburgring as well 👍

400PP: Corsa. Easy win even if I had it understeering a lot.
500PP: DB7. Had to push it to beat the NSX.
650PP: Zonda LM. Very very fun drive around the ring and beats the GT Spec II easily.

The rest of the cars are a joke compared to the F1, even the Zonda is 7-8 seconds back. If you're racing the C5-R and Mark IV you can win handily with a 6:55, The McLaren runs sub-6:30.

It's still not that hard to beat in a good car, but it can be pretty tough and fun in one of the slower-for-the-PP cars on hard tires.

Yeah, 2nd run was ruined by my own slopiness. Ford GT LM Spec II won in a 6:53. Anything other than the McLaren is winnable, but beating that car requires some serious skill.

I used:
400PP - Golf GTI '76
500PP - RUF Yellow Bird
650PP - Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II

Only Nurburgring was a hard race, won after six attempts ... and a lot of tuning.

The cars I used

400PP - Golf GTI (the new one)
500PP - Honda S2000
650PP - Zonda, but I came in 2nd

More like this please PD top notch seasonal

Certainly agree re the 650pp. Nordschleife is a challenge at higher pp values.

I spent this morning trying different cars. The best for me is the BMW V12 LMR Race car, tuned down to 650pp which wins at most attempts, followed by the BMW Mclaren F1 GTR which will win it for me about half of the time. I managed second every attempt with a Chevrolet Camaro SS '10, fully tunes after RM was applied, and second with a Ferrari 330P4 after a few tries and 3rd with a Chaparral 2D, eventually!! Finally I turned the wick well down on the Bentley Speed 8 to get down to 650pp with no weight and maximum downforce, and only managed second, although 1st seems possible as was within 4 seconds of a BMW Mclaren F1 GTR.

650pp Nuir (DS3)

2nd place McLaren F1 GTR
3rd place Zonda LM Race Car

and me in

1st place Lamborghini Nomad Diablo stock with RS and all aids off

yes i creamed it by +5 sec and drove like a mad man!!!

next 3 races took a few more sec from them.........

All for the love of GT5 and not the crap gift ticket car:crazy:

Somewhere in this thread someone mentioned the Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car and it dawned on me I'd never driven that car (after a year and a half!).....

Soooo I tuned one up and absolutely creamed the Zonda, passed him at the 3:12 mark...car is an absolute beast at the 'Ring, extremely stable....👍

Cars I used:
400PP: Suzuki GSX-R/4
500PP: Suzuki GSR-R/4
650PP: Chaparrai 2J

Done the Nurburgring a couple of times, lowest time was a 6:07, but still pretty scrappy, sub 6 minute is definitely possible for me.

Peugeot 905 Race car tuned down should win the 650pp for even a beginer add the 200% bonus and your getting a load of cash and some exp.
