6.34 at Nurb. Won it but only because the Mclaren wasn't there. I thought I was doing so well when I was right up with the leader, then noticed it was a Corvette. :)
Using Mazdas at the moment.
Going to try tuning various other cars to try keep up. It makes entertaining grinding for getting to level 40 but I'm in agreement with several others, these events could be so much more to look forward too.

what's your finish time?

well I managed to nail the race. Wasn't easy though, I kept restarting because all of the AI cars kept blocking the racing line :banghead:  I used my BMW V12 LMR and finished the race in under 6:32.xxx .., not looking good though, the McLaren F1 GTR had a finish time of 6:27.xxx :ouch::ouch:

The line up with the Ford race car in front does like 6:38-9 so you would crush that race.

Yes the problem for Nordschleife is starting so many seconds behind the leader. I'm getting better but 6.32, including passing 11 cars?? Not sure I can do that! Time will tell.

At least this is a worthwhile challenge, I suspect I'm going to get a lot of practice on the Nordschleife before I win it.

Looks very good. Norschleife should be a bit of a challenge hopefully, and I was missing good old Tsukuba. With CS or CM tyres of course. Bring it on I say.

How many laps for each race ?
Did anyone try using the Ford GT Race car in the 650 PP ? (White version, fully tuned and powered reduced ..) ?

And if anyone's wondering ..
I use the Mini Cooper S '11 (DLC car) Stock for the 400 PP events,
Merc. C63 AMG Stock for the 500 PP events and
the Ford GT Race car, Fully tuned and abit Power handicap. :)
I got easy wins for the first 2 Seasonal Aspec events. Hopefully this one will be the same :)

damn, the Nurburgring race is hard as 🤬 :ouch: I'm using a Chevy Corvette ZR1 RM, the best I could do is +12.xxx seconds behind the McLaren F1 GTR.., hate that car when it shows up, very hard to catch up to..,

to anyone here who has won the race, any help would be appreciated 👍 :)

Use GTR n24 schulze sports. Stock can win but very tough. Took quite a few tries with race hard and stock to beat the ford lm. 6:42 if there is no f1.
Max out the pp and use race soft and sfr if u must. 6:28 min is achievable.
To win GTR on the front grid, you need sub 6:35min. If there is only xanavi GTR, it can be won at 6:55min.

Oh look! 400pp, 500pp & 650pp! How new, novel and interesting!

Seriously, can't they come up with something new? Even keeping the pp levels and adding another restriction (drivetrain, country etc.) would be good. Or maybe just mix up the AI cars a touch...

Ladies and Gents, remember from last time we had the Nurburgring Seasonal:

The stronger the car you use, you better be good at driving it, because the scripted adaptive algorithmic AI will be that much better than your choice of car and potential.

Try 550-600pp cars, you will notice the lead AI somewhat slower. I won the previous Seasonal using a 600pp #14 Nascar, mildly tuned, and it was a blast. Can't wait to take out the 2011 model.

But yeah, I miss driving circuit race/LMP cars, I haven't touched them since Spec 2.0 , I'm in for a treat.

To those having trouble on this track, I really suggest higher IT LSD (36 is nice), raised rear a little, a Accel LSD of 21 is good to start, and Decel at 10. coupled with wide tall gear ratios, and a slightly higher top speed than red rev limit, don't ever hit rev limit in turns, this is why you will power oversteer. Try coasting through more difficult turns in medium rev band. and squeeze the trigger on the way out, (and unsqueeze on the way in)

ARB generally softer in the back, than front, or equal at 3/3 , 4/4.

Don't go crazy on cambers, sometimes less is more. Experiment with Brake Balance, sometimes, this alone changes everything. Some cars, like the RUF, have brakes as if throwing a pipe wrench into the rotors , that makes it stop suddenly, lower them to 3/2 , and brake earlier, sometimes all it takes is lighting up the tail lights on this track.

it´s easy to win the latest seasonals. Never had a problem with any of them. Why is everybody having such a hard time winning the nordschleife event? Just learn the track a bit, take a car close to the 650pp (zonda r for example) and you´ll win this without much effort.. or mby i´m just better in GT5 than i think :D

Tsukuba

Prowler restricted down in power with a set of Comfort Softs on (Nice cockpit for a standard car... Bit loose in places but with no driver aids it was an easy win, the other AI cars are pretty slow

Cape Ring Outer
Used a Madd FinTune for the RX-7 GTX
The car itself is pretty eager, and on lower grades of tyres things get very interesting indeed. My lead trio was a Griffith/NSX and a bottled up Esprit V8. Only three laps so you need to pedal faster than the 5 lap tsukuba event.

Yeah baby!

Strangely, this don't seems to the case this time.
My schulze pp stands at 596.
I have Ai ranging from f1 GTR, ford lm, zonda lm, GTR concept lm, xanavi, p330 mk iv on the front grid. Yet to beat f1 GTR in stock schulze. Ford lm is crazy tough too.

I managed to win the nurb with the J2 Chap'. but only on 3rd attempt. 1st 2 times was up against Ford GT RC and mclaren f1 and bith times only managed 2nd. But 3rd time there was no real competition. won by 18 seconds at about 6:34. (made a few mistakes too).

I'll run through it, but after having had so many of these lately it will most likely feel more like a chore than fun.

What about coming up with something semi-original for once? Like a small championship or a REALLY hard race (with standing start) where you even have to go through a tough qualifier to enter.

It's not hard coming up with ideas.

I fully agree. There's SO much they could do to make these more interesting/challenging.

Tsukuba 400 PP: Won with Civic EK9
Cape Ring 500 PP: Won with Camaro ss '10 (restricted to 500PP)
The Ring 650 PP: Won on 4th try by 8.1 secs over the Ford GT LM (the white one) after restarted 3 times. with Z06 RM (638PP) (no McLaren or Zonda on the grid)

Better than TT's and DT's, and even better than the B-spec events. 👍

But on the "Do you miss the old seasonal events?" thread in the Q&A forum you said that the new seasonals are "terrible"? I'm a tad confused here...

400pp - Renault clio at the max with sh

500 - Renault lutecia at the max with ss

650 - a slight cheat, audi r8 race car team playstation at 615 pp with rh

Took less than 45 mins and the last race had the zonda and mclaren. And I hate the track and I'm pretty carp at driving.

Nurburg
pays just what Dr Evil said but also you get 200,000 XP
(Those are both 200% totals)

Nurby was odd. my grid had a Ford GT Spec 2 that bolted and the rest of the pack was bottled up behind a Lister Storm.

I expected tougher, never ran my Hello Kitty 908 at Nurby, all in all very good fun. As Sabine would say - 'Life is too short to drive Front wheel drive here.'

I just won the Nuerburgring event in a Nascar in 6.55 min, 4.xx seconds ahead of the second (Corvette C5-R '00). Actually I didn't pay attention at all, I just wanted to get in second place (you know to earn XP,was my 5th race in a row) as I suddenly realised that I am 4 seconds behind the first (thought it was the second). Long story short - before I had times around 6.45 and I lost by 12-15 seconds each time. Seems to be nothing but luck, A.I. poker...

400pp Delta Hf Integrale 91' (just love that car) sports soft
500pp Elise 111R same tires finished 11 seconds ahead
650pp Zonda R Lm 6:38.669 on the first try (That lap time is not good but it was good enough to win) racing soft tires
Not much of a challenge but harder tires would make it more fun
Still all A-spec seasonals are very welcome

400pp- Honda Beat
500pp- Honda S2000
650PP- Ford GT LM

I had fun no complaints here!
