I found the Nascar seasonal the easiest of them all, was in 1st 2 or 3 corners before the first carousel on the 2nd lap, all I did was put the downforce on max and that's it. Getting golds in the AMG events definitely helps.

Just started practicing on the Nuerburgring with a Nascar stock car, what lap times are needed to get a gold on the last seasonal challenge?

Ok thanks.
It was easy this time.

I won with this set-up. The default one is too stiff:

Aerodynamics 50/70
Transmission 360 Km/h
LSD 30/50/20
Ride height 0/0
Spring rate 11.2/10.0
Dampers Extension 3/3
Dampers Compression 3/2
Anti-Roll Bars 5/1
Camber Angle 2.8/1.0
Toe angle 0.00/0.15
Brakes Balance 7/6

Yeah, Nascar is a piece of cake once you crank the downforce all the way.. It's a pretty easy car to drive, i've heard it wasn't that easy in the pre-release versions of the game..

Aerodynamic settings are the key to the victory, but with my setup the car becomes actually drivable. Try it!

Ok, here are my experiences:

Mini: only put on the close-ratio transmission and it was really tough. Took me 7 or 8 tries but I finally got it. Had to play a little dirty and cut a few corners, but beat it with everything off and ABS at 1.

Focus: haven't tried it yet

Mustang: Put on aero, reduced the weight as much as possible, close-ratio 6-speed, put the wrong power parts on and was a few hp shy. Everything off except ABS 1, took a few tries but finally got it. The stupid car understeers at the drop of a hat.

RX7: Got the Spirit R and put everything on. Ran it 4 times with everything off except ABS1 with different tunes and came in 15-17 seconds behind each time. Tried it with SRF on and got first at the final chicane on the last lap without even driving well. SRF really is cheating.

NASCAR: really easy once you get used to the car. Aero all the way up, ABS 1 and everything else off. Took a few half-laps to get used to the car, then on my first full race I passed the leader before the second "Karussel" thingy. Really easy race if you know the track and have a wheel, but without a wheel I bet it would be tough.

Nascar and mini easy - Focus such a dull ride, turned cheat mode on and passed him on lap 4. Unless I trail braked (braked turning) I couldn't get anything but understeer from the ST.

Much preferred Bonus 1 races, specifically the RX7 and Charger!! Two of my fav races ever, including multiplayer with friends!

But thanks PD what an awesome 10 races for Christmas!!!! Genius idea, very well executed!

The NASCAR Seasonal race has to be one of the funnest races in the game. An easy win after setting the down force to max front and rear, lowering the suspension -10 front and rear, and two clicks down on transmission. Beat it twice already with lap times in the 6:43 range. Too fun to stop even though no more credits or exp to win.

After sitting on my ass playing B-spec mode all over the Xmas/Newyear Break(brought PS3 home from my apartment but chose not to bring the wheel, no place to set it up...), finally got the chance to try the new events...

Mini: Currently sitting at Bronze, did catch the leader by the final corner but not close enough.

Focus: 2nd right now, the leader actually pulls away from you, which partly is because I just suck at Madrid....didn't have the patience to keep trying as the race is just dull...

Mustang: 2nd also, though I can see the leaders by the end, can't be that much harder. The car is just PITA to drive though.

RX7: Bathurst R or whatever is my car to use. Again can see the leader and have finished bronze, but 10 laps around Tsukuba takes some patience...

NASCAR: This was fun, the car is pretty easy to drive as I've remembered from the A-spec road courses race in the NASCAR races. Just demand that you separate your cornering and braking clearly...Golded this one...

Might go back to do those when I feel like it, or I might just SRF them...

Can someone re-cap what the critical laptime to shoot for for these events?
