You can get this car on ANY version of PS3.
You only have to follow 2 "simple" conditions:
1) register EU account (for example UK) and then register on gran-turismo.com site as GT Academy 2001 participant.
2) use GT5 European version (BCES00569)

I've got this car using Taiwanese PS3 (NTSC) being in Taiwan. I've bought GT5 online from UK. Just normal version. Not collector or signature edition.

P.S.: i have GT5 TW version as well. It doesn't display GT Academy competition in seasonal events while EU version does!
