This is a course section time trial event where you will attempt to cross the finish line as fast as you can while overtaking rivals along the way. Prizes are awarded to those achieving Bronze or higher results, and an additional special prize is awarded to those clearing all events with Gold results.

Subaru BRZ Challenge!

This is a time trial on a section of Tokyo Route 246 using the Subaru BRZ S '12. Overtake rivals as you race for the finish line, but be very careful; accurate judgment and precision driving is crucial, as crashing and running off the track will result in immediate disqualification. Achieve a Silver or higher result and you will receive all the cumulative reward credits, experience and prizes up to that rank (One-time only).

Honda Weider HSV-010 Challenge!

This is a time trial on a section of the Suzuka Circuit using the Honda Weider HSV-010 (Super GT) '11 (available to everyone!). Overtake rivals as you race for the finish line, but be very careful; accurate judgment and precision driving is crucial, as crashing and running off the track will result in immediate disqualification. Achieve a Silver or higher result and you will receive all the cumulative reward credits, experience and prizes up to that rank (One-time only).

Nissan GT-R N24 Challenge!

This is a time trial on a section of the Nürburgring 24h course, in the Nissan GT-R N24 GT Academy '12. Overtake rivals as you race for the finish line, but be careful; accurate judgment and precision driving is crucial, as crashing and running off the road will result in immediate disqualification. Achieve a Silver or higher result and you will receive all the cumulative reward credits, experience and prizes up to that rank (One-time only).

That's why it sounds so familiar! Excellent track and car choice PD, those goes togheter really good.

On a other note, thanks for the NSX-R build Mr.Penguin, it handles really well. I have not tested to see how it stacks up against other NSX's, but it is on my to do list. :) Got any upcoming projects?

What I liked about the SUPER GT time trial is that they included the GT300 cars in the mix to make it a bit more of a challenge when passing. Nice touch, there. Hopefully, it's a sign of things to come next game. :)
 
The Honda HSV is available to all, just to clarify any doubts! :)

You simply enter the time trial and the car is available.
 
That stupid GTR is unpredictable to drive. It has oversteer under braking and when you stop braking it understeers like a brick. I must have done at least 20 tries on that and I couldn't get to the finish line. :( :(

Not really. Hybriding has really made making replicas pointless, especially replicas of Standard cars.

Checked and I'm 35th on the HSV challenge. Gonna defend that event for a while. The GT-R one pissed me off as well. Awesome seasonals, though! :dopey:

Time is 1:13.753 by the way...that damn XANAVI.. :grumpy:

Did it gold in Tokyo and Suzuka, but first only in Tokyo.
What's the prize for 3 golds?
Does it have to be gold time and first place to achieve the car ticket?
 
Yep, no tuning and everybody uses the same car.

Can't complain on your times. You just have to do the best you can.

Agreed, it is all over the place, I think it would be easier to drive the factory in which it was built. 👍

Golded and won at Tokyo and have golded Suzuka (2nd).

I found the update extremely slow and it was unable in every instance to save the race.

At Suzuka my Online record is 1:14.413...position 317.
 
I have a suspicion that all of the hybriding may have resulted in more creative seasonal events,

it's a win win really, we can make any car we want and we get better seasonal events.:)
 
Quick question guys, all 3 cars are dlc cars what if i havent bought the dlc for those cars do i still get to run the seasonal event or would PD provide the cars just like on TT57?

Are there any aids forced on?
 
i finished all 3 gold (gtr was a ****), but when i finished the last one, the gtr, i got a connection error with pd’s server. now my gtr ranking couldn’t be ranked and i didn’t get a car ticket. do i get my ticket after pd fixes this mess? it couldn’t even find seasonal events anymore after i golded my third race. this sucks.

and no, there are no forced aids.

That's crap!...Tell that to all the Tuners around here who spent countless hours tweaking their cars to shave a few thousandths off of their lap times.

Hybrids are %100 responsible for the demise of the TT as we knew them.
 
I've just finished all three events with Gold in each. They're relatively easy, apart from the last one, on the Nurburgring. What on earth is up with the handling of that car? It took me a few attempts before I could finally control it, and I won by over a second.

My best event was whilst driving the Honda Weider HSV 010, on Suzuka. I managed 104th on the leaderboard but after checking around ten minutes later, I had dropped to 106th. I'll have another go at it later to try and improve.

I love this, best seasonal for ages. All great fun but the GTR's handling is a little frustrating at times.

Hope we get more of these, I'm going to have to buy the Honda it's awesome.

Great event, loved it! The only thing that annoyed me was that it took 1-2 minutes to update my ranking each time I finished.

You could try adjusting the brake balance in the RA menu (don't know if that resets every time you restart the race though?). One advice regarding the GT-R challenge is to keep cool, brake well in time and don't go any faster than the car can handle. Speed is not everything, you need to get around the corners too ;)

The cars are available for you to use, you don't have to buy them.:)

If you want to keep your RA settings you must start the race - then set your desired values - immediately restart the race and your setting will be saved.
Dont think about why you cannot set RA settings pre-race, because its PD. :)

Updating the rankings takes forever and I disagree with some of these disqualifications. But overall, the A.I. feels a bit more competitive than usual. But I may just be seeing things because we're not racing full laps.
 
I got a bit annoyed with the Weider on Suzuka. Every time I went for the overtake coming out the double right hander it would turn in to me causing disqualification :/ same with the Lexus coming out of the left hander into the sweeping right.

Not to mention the terrible handling and braking on this GTR. It's go awfull

I swear there are events in Forza 4 that are just like this.
