hey, i've got 100% in the game, and now that i've done that i want to start drifting, and i need some newbie help and suggestions, just pointers and things like that, and i have a question, should you use the e-brake or just use the power of the car to put it sideways? and what are some good drift cars, (i have started with the Nissan silvia 2000cc, i tuned it to 239hp and i put sims on it)

Well, for starters, how about just jumping into an arcade car and setting the mode to drift instead of race. Get used to how a drift car should handle. After a few hours enjoying that, take a look through the drift settings depot (READ THIS thread) and apply it to the Nissan.

Myriad ways to initiate the drift, and it's usually up to your tastes as to how you wish to.

NK4E, swift and a handful of others will be along shortly to fill in the finer points.

Take some time, and test out different ways of entering, and see if you can sum up a response to your own question. Then return here and double check with the group to see how close you came.

Good luck

Thanks DA! I feel really honored that you'd include me by name as someone that has enough knowledge/experience to help others.

Well, like DA was saying. you really have to get used to what's going on with the car when it gets sideways. There really isn't anything can tell you until you do that. Don't go messing with a lot of wild settings, funky tire combinations, or a bunch of HP. Just take that S13(smart starting with sims BTW 👍 ) that you have and start getting sideways. After that, come on back and we'll help you with settings, techniques and such.

Nice to see someone have intelligent questions on how to drift :)

do we have to ??? anyways , ill try to give a basic layout on AWD drifting or FR. the way i did it take a FD(RX7 RS) and basicly put sims on it and try going out then in (yes, i don't know that much about FRs sadly TT_TT) but PM silvia drifter, SWiFT,FI, or thio

Wheres my name :-/ ..... If you want to start FR , Buy a S14, whack on some sims, and drift hard out! Perservere if you keep spinning out... Learn how to countersteer when you need it, and "MODULATE" the throttle at right times to keep the car sliding ( and not spin out the car) Your best bet would be to start out on Midfield I/II or Trial Mountain I. Or if your feeling patient, go complex string and watch your experience increase tenfold! Well.. I guess that's all i can say except Good luck, and have fun with it ;) :)
