Although set-ups for cars may seem like a good idea, settings don't always transfer from one driver to another - and rarely from one track to another.

If you read some of the tuning guides, you can diagnose what's wrong with the car's handling yourself and find out the best way to tune the problem out. The benefit with this is you can tune any car to any track for yourself, and not have to borrow and test other people's which may not work for you.

The R32 was my second car. I first used it to win the GTR races, then fully Turbo'd it and won the Super Speedway Enduro to get a decent racer. Now it gathers dust.

Do it until you get the Corvette racer. This can take on most of the "LM" cars, but it is not so dominating that you don't need skill. It also remains pretty stable with the right setup, considering it is RWD and has that much horsepower.

EDIT: If you win the F1 car, don't use it except to practice. Racing it against any other car but another F1 is cheating, and you will develop no racing skill.

yea...i wanted the f1 or the corvette...but nooooo...i got the clio...ill prolly race it again tonite...maybe with a different car...my skyline wasted the competition by somethin like 10 laps or so...

You're gonna need that Cleo for the.... "Cleo Trophy", in the "Professional League"
... Good luck! :dopey:

The Clio is awesome! You almost never have to use the brakes in that thing. It's a great little car.

Don't forget, you can use the "Save Technique" to get the car you want. Race in the series and try to come in first place in each race. Right after the end of the second-to-last-race, save your game. Skip the last race. By coming in first in the previous races, you should have enough points to win the series and the bonus car. If you don't like the car you get, reload the game over again, and then skip the last race again. Do this over, and over again, until you get the car you want.

Bah, I've gotten every car but that one in that enduro.

yea...you can do that...but id rather make it a real challenge...i want to do things truthfully...as realistic as possible...not restarting cuz i dont like the prize...ya know?..makes it more fun imo...

Yeah, but it is nice when you are doing the race for the 3rd time just rtying to get the car... I haven't yet... but I am tired of winning Evos... I have like over a dozen, and I always seem to win more... and I don't feel like selling them >_>

To answer your original question, I agree with Famine. Someone here on GTP once said, "Give a man one setup, he will succeed with one car on one track. Teach a man to tune properly, he will succeed with all cars on all tracks." Or something to that effect anyhow. But if you're unsure how to even get started with setups, go to www.gtvault.com and check out some of the user-submitted ones. Welcome to GTP by the way!

Welcome to GTPlanet, Strangester! And welcome to GT3 as well.

There's no shame in using the 'save and reload' trick to pick your prize car... but of course, it doesn't work on enduros.

The Clio racer is a great little car. It handles well (being midengine) and has enough power stock or with mild upgrades.

The C5R might be good, but it's near useless in races with tire wear on. The front tires wear out quite rapidly, and it plows like a toboggan once they start to go bad.

...i am currently in the process of makin a site that will have my gt3 stats...current day...current # of wins to date...cars....upgrades to cars...everything...updated almost nitely...

In the meantime, could you please reduce the size of your sig?

...And Welcome to the GTP.

It's one way to do it but another is once the car you want is highlighted, press the X button. It takes a couple of time to get it right though

I try hitting the D=pad toward the car that I want... its worked it seems... but no doubt its just pure randomness, cause thats how those things are... and thats why I have EVOs out the yin yang...

Oh heck, is it Sunday already? It's a bit early in the week for the weekly disproval of this urban myth, but here goes.

No it doesn't. It's completely smegging random. I've done the tests to prove it.

You used smeg as verb... I've only heard it used with smeg head... on Red Dwarf.

I'm gonna go with its random, cause well, I'm too lazy to test it, and will listen to this guy ^ cause he seems to have been here a bit... :D

Red Dwarf, series 3, Bodyswap:

"Oh smeg. What the smegging smeg's he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."

Ahh... its been a while since I've watched... just what it means bothers me enough though to remember it... >_>

welcome to GTP Strangester,
the Nomad diablo JGTC (yes i said DIABLO.there is a way to get it) is a great car but for rally races buy the ESCUDO, easy victory once you master it,due to its insanely fast acceleration and high top speed. but the best RWD car I found is the Team ORECA GTS-R ridicously fast and great handiling.

TwinTurboJay
C5-R beats vipers all day long !( in real life and in gt3 !!! )
Not a chance. And especially not if tire wear is turned on.
