New to hybriding, but got some realistic creations

Well, I just started hybriding about a week ago and man is it adictive.

My first goal was to make a few cars that are realistic. So I started with your regular ricer burners.

I made a Civic SiR II with a Type-r engine in it, and a spoon suspension. Took it out to the beginners championship race and took on a field of rally cars.

It had 209hp with port polish and displacement I believe and the first three races were won by less then .5 seconds each.

The next hybrid I did was of my former car. I took the miata and dropped in the 13-B engine from the second gen RX-7. I haven't had the chance to run it yet but I believe it will do fairly well.

The third and final car I did so far was a Z28 with a corvette engine in it. This car should be interesting once I get it ready to race .

Glad to hear your liking it 👍. I occasionally build one of those psycho-unbelievable hybrids but Im more into realistic/mild hybriding. If you check the Mild Hybrids topic there are a few of my mild ones in there ...

I'll definately have to check that out. I figure give me a little bit and I will configure a whole garage of these mild hybrids with maybe one or two wild ones and attach it up here.

BTW, try this:

Acura RSX MR.

Just give it an S4 turbo, the MR drivetrain from the Jaguar Road Car, and then give it all of it own upgrades (except NA tune) from the tune shop. Handles great! I use it often!

If you think about it an MR RSX is possible. Just no back seat...

the only thing i've made like that is a spoon civic with a spoon s-2000 engine, handles about as bad as a real one would...

i ordered mu sharkport todau ,and i was thinking of having the normal AE86 but with the wheel and engine of the AE86 S.S .and making and integra with the spoon civic engine,suspension ,wheels,and brakes.i just cant wait

miata with rz rx-7 rotary 800 something hp {handles like ass}
ae86 with a 13b, not bad, kinda pokey

turbo z06
7.0 liter z06
turbo grand sport vette {my baby}

v10 pt cruiser {been done aka pt bruiser}
cobra 427 in a ford focus {been done as well}

thats just a small run down of the basic cars i have done. im working on some seriously radical cars, and some more modertately built ones

You should also try an RSX with 4wd (from the 206 WRC and the LSD), Denso Sard Supra Engine and some nice tires. Great car and sounds awesome!...

Watch out about comments of said Miata, some people here or person for that fact take it personally. Plus the fact you probably didn't put a RX-7 suspension on it might be causeing your handling problem. The Miata I put together with the 13b gets to 600hp and still handles fine, I just had to do a little tweaking

it has williams f1 suspension under it. the fact being i haven't had time to sit and tweak there car more then likely has something to do with it. all my hybrids have f1 suspension under them. some times its more or less the nature of the car. such as my turbo awd 7th gen celica. pushes hard in the corners. i'll create some more hybrids this weekend and post em for ya. you'll like em

you need to upgrade the chassis code more than the suspension, if you're still rolling on that ol' miata chassis...
