new update sound problems

after 106 update I have lost engine sounds in car I am driving.I have tire noise and sounds of cars around me also b-spec car does have sound. A very weird problem. try driving with no engine sound it is harder than you might think. My update download was smooth but is there a way to re download again?
 
Go to *Game data utility* from the XMB and find GT5 then click triangle and delete it...but ull probably have to re install the game to the hard drive

Be careful not to delete your "save data." I have a friend who uses 7.1 surround sound, and the sound is ALMOST silent while driving the car "in car" or with the bumper cam - unless you "look backwards" and then it's loud and clear...... From every other view the sound is spot on, with no muffled effect. We switched it to another setting (i.e. 2 channel or 5.1) and the sound returned to normal volume while in car or bumper cam.
 
Mine has done this only when I am listening through my stereo and the sound is going through the optical cable....weird.....it will work for a little while, then it will stop.

It works all the time, however through my TV and that is connected with HDMI.

I don't listen to GT5 through the stereo much, but I watch Blu-Ray movies. It always works fine then as well. So I am guessing it is something with the game....
