Really enjoyed playing Turismo sport but today is probably the last time I will play it.
Some players may have asked for the change but personally I would have left it alone.
Same spots on the track is not reality. Cars are like bambi on ice now no matter wot I do.
Why make the changes?
Oh well, in the drawer it goes. (Or eBay),

You made an account to say goodbye?

You must deep down feel conflicted about this and want people to convince you to keep playing like we answer for PD (goodness knows, they don't answer for themselves).

Ok, here goes...

A lot of people feel the new tyre model is less like being on ice because the cars don't continue to spin the wheels when you come off the throttle allowing better feeling. I didn't like it at first, but give it a chance I think it's better.

Ok, someone else have a go. We have to rescue this endangered soul and keep him online racing or else..or...I don't know. Probably nothing.

There's enough content in this current update to keep you going until the next one which should be end of month?

Im not liking the new tyre model at all, it feels like the rear of the car is using different physics to the front but i have started to pretend its just a new GT and to get used to it.

I won't mention the broken W08, the terrible decal quality or the new weekly "dailies" or that might push us both over the edge... Whoops.

Me neither. It feels like almost any steering input under braking results in understeer, like the ABS has been massively weakened, and then when you come off the brakes you're handed another slice of understeer. That last bit is almost as if "appropriate" corner speeds are based on those used by the (arcade) AI cars; go much faster through a corner than they would and its understeer city.

Then, to counteract the reduced speed through (most) corners grip on exit has been increased and you can mash the accelerator with pretty much no risk of oversteer. I've tested this in the Gr.3 WRX (in which I've done over 21,000 miles, mostly at the Nordschliefe) at Lake Maggiore; Some corners where I used to have to progressively roll on the throttle (because, driving with TCS 0 as I do in everything, you'd spin at almost any speed if you just mashed the accelerator) can now be given full beans on exit. That may just be because corner speeds have been reduced, but something just feels artificial about it now, like it was a conscious decision so that lap times are not reduced too much compared to the previous tyre model.

If you were cynical of mind, like I am, then you'd think PD have done this to largely reduce the risk of one of the biggest race ruiners; spinning out due to oversteer. In the test runs I've been doing taking a trip to understeer town just results in you losing a little bit of time, far, far less than spinning out on exit would have done, so PD have decided to .

For me though, once you've gotten your head around the understeer andthat you can't do what you previously did, it feels like they've actually made things easier. Brake in a straight line (to a speed slower than you previously would), turn in with the throttle feathered, clear the apex, smash the throttle and you're golden.

I hate the tyre physics in this game too. It's extremely uninspiring and it has a negative effect on the handling of cars, particularly the RWD ones. This led me to scrap various RWD cars in frustration and rage. The tyre physics in GT Sport is the worst in the series history, as far my views are concern. Screw that!

If it's broken, maybe this update tomorrow will fix it:

for the tire grip, i'm feeling that the cars have better grip now than they had before or close to the same, but since I play with a controller, i'm using all the help I can get (as I have always used), with traction controll 3, ASM on, countersteering assistance strong and ABS default.
I'm grinding credits on Blue Moon Bay Speedway and my lap times is the same as it was before the tire grip adjustment update + I have done all races in K Car Cup, 3 races in Nostalgic Car Festival, 2 endurance porsche Cup Race, 1 Gr.1 Prototype Endurance Series and 1 Mercedes AMG Grand Prix so I don't notice any difference between now and then, except it's easier now to control oversteer and easier to stop a car from spinning out except the Mercedes AMG F1 W08 EQ Power +.

That's how i feel! Way to much ondersteer right now. I feel like a snail at some parts with my GT-R. Just don't turn in as it did and when in step on the gas the car just goes "foward".

Not sure what to think about the new tyre physics. Sometimes i think it's better, sometimes i hate it...

Don’t know why they changed it. It’s out of the machine now gathering dust.
Shame but there ya go.
