thanks for the info will check it out

it looks like it could be part of the documentary you get as part of the blu-ray version, check out 2:50 on the vid, there's a lady who has maya running with a lotus shell on her monitor, but to the left she has a tv with a white lotus and is testing a camera placement or something because the cars aren't animated, but can anyone recognise the track, I don't know what it is.

So what do you see in the new video? Can you tell?

basically it's a compilation of a commentary+short interview (with KY driving the new 07' GTR while doing so), promoting KY's first game MotorToon Grand Prix US Edition(now available on PS Store), comparing GT1 and GT5, showcasing GT5P's online race in Daytona Circuit (with the other online racer's nickname blurred out), then there's a final clip of KY walking around PD, showcasing the behind-the-scene stuffs like creating the models of a Lotus Elise, wheels etc(I even paused at certain frames to find something 'extraordinary' but to no avail hehe)

hm..that's about all :)

Oh cool thanks. What is that extraordinary thing?

One scene showed a two lotus elises next to each other, the picture wasn't clear but one seemed to have a wing, Exige maybe?

Yup, looks like an Exige and Elise to me...

Yeah looks that way

here is a larger version

Only thing is the possible Exige is extremely low poly in that pic.

Anyone know what car this wheel belongs to?

Don't know, but I like that we're seeing it as a stand alone object. Gives me high hopes for the atmosphere surrounding the modification process.

I always love seeing new development pics so you can get some bits of info just from whats on their screens....Does indeed look like there will be a sporting exige of some sort... Or maybe its just an auto shop wing add on..

I want to know what track that is that the two Lotus's (Lot-i :sly:) are on, it looks like tall pine tree's maybe some alpine track or maybe something like El Capitan...

That wheel could seriosuly be off anything!

I would also love to know what CAD program they use to model the cars..

Robin.

the are using a modelling package made by alias wavefront called Maya, most movies and games use this software. and so do I. I only have version 7.5 unlimited though, there on 9 or 10.

they can run all there physics simulations through that, if you think of something you can with knowledge do it, I built a pool game on it before and It had a fully working table, cues, balls, cloth, it's brilliant. it was funny using the moons gravity 0.3 I think it is, and the package would adjust the settings real time.

Thanks for the info :). Funnily enough on my university course we use Alias ImageStudio 3 to render our models created in ProEngineer Wildfire 4.0. I guess ImageStudio is like Maya but more for stationary beauty shots of items.. Its a great program!

I haven't played Tourist Trophy (though I look forward to buying it very soon) but I think the track is Valencia. The only track I can think of that has a grid with small markers from previous GTs is Le Mans, but here we have a red curb and the grandstand is set back, whereas the grandstand is right on top of the track at Le Mans.

I really like the enthousiams in which Kazunori tells his story´s. You can see he really loves to talk about cars :D
