I mean it was pretty obvious they weren't a proper company when they called themselves 'Barra 404' and hosted their website for free on weebly. They want us to think they have enough money to produce and sell a console but they can't afford $3 a month for a proper website.

Wait and we eventually will see the true power of this new console.

Just look this:

"Hahaha. What is this? A toaster? The Steam Box is expensive and not even provide half the functions of our future console!"
Official Facebook page, 6/14.

There's a Steam Box? Must've missed that one. That must be referring to the Piston, which is not a/the Steam Box. Minor point though, given the rest of the shambles involved...

Bara - Pesada = (shady caracter) 404 = not available

Seriously who with a right mind would name a electronics product 404?

You probably want money in advance for preorders?

Come on Winry, this is either a troll, a joke, both, maybe a scam.

The only thing for sure, and I bet my right foot on it (I need that one to drive!) it's gonna fail and nobody will notice it fail.

We all know about the Xbone and the PS4, now go take to a not so serious gamer, they still are not aware.

Your console even die hard gamers know nothing about.

But I also grant you that this is quite a funny thread.

Maybe you can convience our Chief console troll JSilvaGT, he is as trollish as you, though he bets his heart on the Xbone

Our releases from the past

We thought fit to show you some of the history of our project. Many of you know that this blog is the temporary version of our Site, the Barra 404. We had to disable many cool things, to assemble Version 2 of Barra 404.

See how was the old version:

So was the barra 404: a funny blog, with services, games, news, wall, TV, maps, a virtual ship, and system development of speech recognition, the Bar 404 John ROBOT experience (b404JR). Until we create a prototype of a robot with this system. We have also been developing a technique to 3D, the 3D World Experience Platform (3DWPE).

With the opening of Barra 404, announced the 2013 version of Meuteu Browser. A lightweight web browser without installation, simple, practical and easy.

Another of our best releases was a modified version of the game Angry Bots. So the game Angry Bots Lusobotanic, was one of the biggest hits of the barr 404.

You can read here the description of the game: "On earth there is a cry for help because a scientific research ship is sinking in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Find out the reason, struggle to escaping a bomb and live a fantastic adventure. ".

Developers

Now is the time to answer programmers. We will hear from our console games for the Online shop. We will provide the necessary tools to game development. And the amazing thing is that it does not cost a penny to publish!

I didn't think it was possible to make me even more skeptical about this entire thing, but somehow they've managed it.

Also, if "Meuteu" is pronounced the way I think it is...

You have to worry when the first question asked in the FAQ is 'Is It real?'

I'd rather by a Lenovo eedoo :sly:

Is always sad when someone wants to create an innovative project, but because of some critics of few people, they abandone their project.
Last year, many people criticized OUYA, but now OUYA is already available for purchase.
I think this project may be a success.
Let's wait to see what will happen in bComsumer'13.

Ouya has been a disaster, the reviews are terrible and its pretty much a flop.

Yeah but that's not really the point I was making, the point is it got over 8.5 million dollars from crowdfunding whereas whatever this console is has... Not. So of course the Ouya made it to market, that's the kind of funding a project like this needs, not some kids who have to confirm that their console isn't a joke.

Playstation Vita was the last flop in the videogame industry.

The Vita is amazing, it just needs a price drop and more memory options to take off. The Ouya, on the other hand, has flopped hard. I mean yeah they made tons of money from the Kickstarter, but in terms of actual sales...well...there aren't any sales.

And the best console in the world (is that from Clarkson?) has already bad graphics, sorry but the few seconds shown in the trailer is not good, the explosions are bad, I mean really bad.

My galaxy S2 can do better

And if you discouraged by a few people laughing on a gaming forum, it's not the right job for them/you

The game that they had show is from last year. They are a honest group unlike Sony, at E3 Sony showed games with CGI and CG trailers. *COF*COF* FFXV * COF* The Order 1886 * COF* Infamous *COF*.

Sony showed a lot more real footage on real PS4 hardware compared to Microsoft's option to use high end PC's with little to no related tech and specs, so I'd aim that at both companies.

I do feel that you can't judge anything by that short clip though, that would be like seeing 5 seconds of LocoCycle and claiming that's all the XOne is capable of. Then again, if you want to show off what your system can do, then surely you'd want to put your best foot forward.

That's not true. XBXOX ONE is better than PS4, and this new Portuguese console will be better than PS4 too, but any console will be better than the upcoming XBOX ONE.
Titanfall a game for XBOX ONE was the best game at E3.

I didn't know you were talking this thread seriously, I get what your saying now. 👍

No the Ouya was the last (most recent) flop and the Wii U before that. The Vita hasn't been an outright disaster but it hasn't exactly done well. It exists in a world where there are devices which can do so much more including gaming for a similar price.

The average consumer won't get why you would pay 40 pounds for a game for a bulky thing that can't even phone people when all they want is 69p games they can play for 5 mins here and there. Portable gaming has totally changed now.

Wut.

We're getting a bit off topic here, but Titanfall looked as average as FPS get...
