New X-Box Owner in need of some Help

this christmas i got an x-box.i was pretty surpised.

i think my Controller{the Micro S} is broke already.their is a erring
noise coming from the controller that is a moderate erring,but still annoying as hell.could it be broke?

for the headset,go with the microsoft one or the mad catz?

what are some good games to rent?{i got stuck with the clone wars/tetris game}i've already rented PGR2 and SW:KOTR.good so far.in PRG2 i got 119,000 kudos and in SW i'm stuck on the sith base level with the sith governor.

on another note:
i'm trying to get my parents into getting me online with the x-box,but so far no go.i was setting up the account for the 2 months free and then was greeted with a billing page.i told them and they won't give me a credit card cause they have this crazy idea once i sign up to the x-box live service,they won't be able to cut it{the reason for their concern is EA was still billing my dad even thought i cut my MCO membership a few months before MCO was deemed a lost cause and canned}i really like to race some people in PGR2 before i gotta return the game.

1. does your controller still play? if the damm thing still works then its retarded but ok. when it doesnt play anymore, then you worry.

2. microsoft ( i stick with what i know of:lol: )

3. Definitely halo ( DUH!:P ) , soul calibur 2, project gotham racing 1, DOA 3/Xtreme Beach Volleyball, annnnddddd........i dont know what else:D

I bought a brand new Xbox on the day after Christmas and i also have a errring noise coming from the controller!

Its really starting to annoy me now! Anyone else have this problem?
 
My controller also has a ringing noise. Did any of you happen to get the Xbox used (refurbished)?


Also, PGR2 is a must! :P Just tell your parents that when you sign up for the 2 free months, they wont start billing you untill after the 2 months. Then after that, it's only $5.99 per month. Now I'm sure that you could pay that. :) And as far as SW:KOTOR, I can't help you there as I am not even that far! :lol:
 
my parents got me a brand new X-Box{the refub ones have "refubrished" written on the box}.the controller still plays,but the erring is driving me nuts.i got halo for the pc,played SC:2 on my Ps2,gonna rent DOA VolleyBall when i return the other games wed.i'm surpised the discs have no stratches on them,unlike the ps2 games i've rented.

i think by next week i'll be online with the x-box,gotta wear them down.the force maybe strong with them,but my force is stronger and will prevail:lol:

i really gotta stop playing that SW:KOTR and focus on my ps2 and work on GT3 and SoCOM
 
i think the controller thing is with everyone, the one that came with it also does it and so does the one i just recently purchased
 
My X-box just does not load bigger games. My sugestion would be to get another controller if it bugs you. If it works and you can live with it then just play.
