Get yourself together man, and buy yourself a pc to play FPS games on 👍
FPS games on consoles is a big joke!

Yeah, I could never quite grasp playing an FPS with a controller. Keyboard + mouse FTW!

Yeah, but PS3 controllers still suck. :ill:

It depends... I think the DS3 are just fine to games like Fifa 12 etc...
Its ok to use when I wanna watch movies aswell :sly:

But I will never play FPS on console, even if consoles get mouse + keyboard support...
The consoles are so limited, specially on the graphics part.

To be honest I dont see why you are trying to start something with that comment right there.

Everyone knows the PC FPS fanboys come up in console threads trying to start a huge flame war and making themselves look better than the rest thinking playing FPS on PC makes them high and mighty its getting old and boring.

If I wanted to play on a PC I would, I have a perfectly capable PC but my preference is console at the end of the day its a personal choice - and with being able to have freedom of choice means if I wanted to play on a PC I would without some PC guy trying to look above the rest, looking down on those poor console players.

I dont like Mouse and Keyboard except for general PC use, to me its not a gaming device - and wheres the triggers to shoot? oh I forgot you shoot guns with a mouse, makes sense.

More of my friends have console than a gaming PC so I can play with my friends and I can also sit on the couch and get comfy.

The best thing about console is you know 99% of everyone is using the same pad / graphics and has the same advantages and disadvantages. On a PC you dont have that luxury and could be outdone by someone who is not as good at the game but has a better PC.

Consoles are designed to have a certain lifespan and when the current generation was released they were pretty on par with what a PC could offer, PC's can be upgraded but console costs a quarter of what a gaming PC does to start with.

What people look at are numbers - but what they dont realise is consoles dont need as much RAM to run the same processes a PC does. So because the 360/PS3 has less than their PC its all they use to compare.

At least you know when you buy a console you know after 5yrs down the line you dont have to upgrade it to play the latest games.

Why pay ÂŁ1000 for a decent gaming PC when you can pick up a ÂŁ200 Xbox and have just as much fun as more friends are playing with you on Xbox?

I am not, I just commented on your post.

Funny how its always the console players claiming everything is better on console then. ^^
And you can't call a FPS PC player a fanboy if he says he prefers PC over consoles. That's just not correct. (Don't care to explain either!)

I understand you want to play on console, and by all means, do.
But I said I prefer FPS on PC!

It does make sense... Its been like that for like 15-20 years.
FPS was started on PC, remember?
And the trigger you are missing is called the left mouse button.

More of my friends have console than a gaming PC so I can play with my friends and I can also sit on the couch and get comfy.
Thats a very understandable point.

True on the console part, but I used to have a crap pc (really crap, barely managed CoD4) and I still got on top 3 most of my rounds.. So its really comes down to the skills of the player. I had my glory days a few years back when I was really good.
Now when im getting older ( 21  ) i've missed alot of my reflexes, but I still do good from time to time.

Still, consoles are locked to 60 frames pr second, while me, on my new laptop run BF3 at 350 fps on high graphics.

At least you know when you buy a console you know after 5yrs down the line you dont have to upgrade it to play the latest games.
Really? If you buy a decent gaming pc now, the only real issue in the next 5 years or so is the graphics card (considering its a decent + PC).

Why pay ÂŁ1000 for a decent gaming PC when you can pick up a ÂŁ200 Xbox and have just as much fun as more friends are playing with you on Xbox?
You don't have to pay ÂŁ1000 for a decent gaming PC. There are lots of PC's in the lower ÂŁ600 - ÂŁ800. A ÂŁ1000 PC will give you a good gaming PC.
And because on PC, you will get a better gaming experience... At least in my opinion.
I've tried both MW2 and Black Ops on PS3 and Xbox, and I can't say I was impressed.

I don't want a argument with you, or anyone else for that matter.
You have your point of view, and I have mine.
Thankfully, no one in this world is alike, cause that would be one boring world. ;)

I have both, but with the new console coming next year I wouldn't build a PC for next gen gaming now. The console will be way cheaper and most likely a better GPU than the PC for the first 2-3 months and then AMD will release their card with the same feature sets + a little more for the PC

What was funny though was me playing Crysis Wars online and hanging in there being the only one using the 360 gamepad. Personally, I detest using a keyboard for any game. On most PC shooters I used a flightstick/trackball combo so for me I don't mind the gamepad. I'm almost as fast as a mouse/trackball, I use 8/10 sensitivity in COD and Insane sensitivity in Halo Reach. There are also way less cheaters on Xbox live and when caught they get the hammer!

Thats why we love dedicated servers on PC... The admin bans cheaters. :sly:

Until they log back in with a new ip. On xbox live you have to purchase a whole new console to get back online. That makes cheating a very expensive and risky thing to do.

After playing Forza 4 and seeing where they had to make compromises to get it to look the way it does, I can say I'm ready for the next generation.

It says a lot when you can't have your mirrors run at 60 fps, let alone actually show what's behind you (left and right mirrors) and not to the sides.

When this current generation started, hard drive space wasn't a big issue. The "Premium" Xbox came with a 20GB hard drive which at the time seemed like plenty, but the industry evolved so quickly that they had to come out with bigger and bigger hard drives and eventually a redesign to keep up. On top of that, they're still limited by using a DVD-ROM.

Since the 360 came out, I've gotten married, switched careers, earned my degree, and the Lions have become a respectable football team.

Though that sounds pretty cool, XBOX Infinity. To me, it seems like it would be the last one produced. There would be another one after it, but what could top Infinity?

XBOX 720 sounds ridiculous. Something like XBOX 360² would be better. If Kinect continues in a positive direction, and I'm sure it will and new system will focus more on it, I think XBOX Active would be a good name. Just a thought.

If they focus on Kinect more and name it the XBOX Active then i will not buy it. It would be just another wii.

Well, if it came with Kinect integrated, or had Kinect in the bundle, that'd be pretty neat, as long as it still supports the traditional game pad.

How can anyone bash on Kinect after being able to voice navigate the FM4 menus? I absolutely hated the FM 1,2,3 menus having to back all the way out to go to tune or whatever...

I love using a mouse for FPS games. There's no doubt this is the best way to play. but after 10mins using WSAD my hand has cramps. Just can't get with keyboard controls for that reason. that and I tend to miss-hit keys. there's so many so close together.

I'm surprised Microsoft doesn't have an officially licensed version of this. Could be to do with possible hacking/macro abuse. They are seriously stringent about such things.

I'm considering one for use on both the Xbox and PC.

Here's one for people that prefer WSAD

I'm extremely happy with the Xbox controllers and have been since the original xbox. well once they shrunk it down a bit. The original (U.S?) version was the size of a planet. It was miles ahead of the PS1 controller. I could never fully utilize the full analogue capabilities in GT1/2 because the thumbsticks were in an awkward position and not very intuitive for racing imho. I hope MS doesn't change them too much going forward for the Next-box. A Kinect-only console would be a foolish move and even with the sales of wii and kinect I don't think they would go that route. Less sales overall for peripherals?

IP bans are only prevalent on some games nowadays. Many games now ban people from servers or the game itself if it's endorsed by Steam by way of the user's CD key.

I think he's meaning more along the lines of modified consoles that play pirated games and can hack games. JTAG or something? Those get perma banned and can never access xbox live again.

I know what you are meaning though cheaters can be banned from individual game servers or more commonly have their gamertag banned, the latter being the worst case scenario as you have to pay for xbox live again on a new tag and lose all those achievement scores too !
