I'm not looking for broad answers or base tunes, I am a little better than that. I've been tuning my corvettes, both zr1 and zo6, since I started drag racing and I'm stuck at 9.260s. I know the hydro guys, and other top tuners, spend a lot of time on their tunes and I respect that. I joined today seeking some help in getting passed the wall I'm at. I do not know how everything on this website works because I am more of a" for fun after work tuner", but I'd really like to reach low 9.2s. Thanks.

im stuck around that time too, not exactly sure of the exact 1.4 mile time, but i havent broken mine in yet.

What is everyones fascination with lowest Route X times lately? Once again, most of the top times are from tunes specifically made for Route X and will not work online because they will bog or have more wheelspin. Stop killing yourself with the numbers. Route X is for base tuning and the real improvements are made while online.

What he said.👍
The fastest times on the leaderboard here are reached by launching diffrently than you do online. If 9.26s is your time while holding throttle from black loading screen then your time is pretty good.

exactly. quit waisting your time with route x, tune on indy first, then take it there just to make sure its running a quick time.

Ok cool, I thought we had found a different way of tuning these things and that's what I wanted to find out. Appreciate it guys.

Yeah, 9.26x is a time you should be proud of without all this retro-launching crap. :)

That and noobs with other people's tunes is killing the game for me. + Every time I beat someone who thinks they're "fast" they start throwing accusations..

But I'll get off my soapbox and keep tuning. Cool website/forum btw* I'm exploring it and I'm impressed at the work put in.

Never give up anything you start. (A life lesson ;) )

^^^Go listen to Iron Maiden's "The Lonliness of the Long Distance Runner" and it will all make sense of what he just told you.

I see where you're going with this*
So let me ask you this, what's the obsession with all these teams lately?
1) are there tournaments?
2) are there other top teams beside hydro? (I've raced a few of you guys spuratically and hold my own but other than green tree and ovc, I believe that's their name, I haven't ran across any other competitive teams.)
3) should I try and join a team?

Hope I don't offend anyone*

Lolwut?

The Solo Brotherhood, and I think that's it to be honest. OHC is nothing, and they have like 200 guys.

Joining a team is up to you and what you want. I'd recommend a good team to try out with if you can hold your own against us. If you prefer being a lone wolf and keeping to yourself, then stay solo. If you have friends that play online and you have fun with them, try making a team. But if you want it to be successful you'll need to stay on top of things. I've had a few times were Hydro actually collapsed, and lucky I was friends with enough fast guys at the time to recruit more. Eventually some who left returned and the team got an incredibly strong bond with each of us (to the point we have each others cell numbers, texting/calling a lot). It depends on what you want out of GT5.
