I will, Barcelonic...

it's wasn't Suzuka, it was the SPA seasonal, nearly all the online top are using the same car! the Nissan R390 (road car or GT1?)

What is the cheapest alternative to compete and have a chance (at least to bronze) in these seasonal when you are low level (cash wise)?

ATM I do and redo easy credits grinding races in pro to get some cash: the first 2 races of Supercar Festival are quite easy with a mild tuned Italia and the lambo Challenge with a mild tuned Murcielago. Especially with these online percentage multipliers perks (I'm at 200%).

I have a nsx set online now that is set up for the bspec seasonal at spa. Feel free to try it out, first place gets you 4 million and it only take a half hour.

You have to let the track dry to 20 percent before you start the race tho.

To be honest I'd borrow cars for those high-spec races. You'd need a level 23 car preferably which are 3 to 4 million minimum - there's usually one or two in the online collectors dealership. Thats why Id borrow because they are all good on different tracks so it helps to have a few level 23 cars. There is another option which ill mention in a second but here are the best level 23 cars imo:

Mercedes Sauber c9 Race Car
Toyota GT-ONE Race Car
Toyota MINOLTA
BMW V12 LMR Race Car

Toyota 7 Race Car
Chaparral 2J

The top four are low-to-the-ground, good all-rounders; BMW has good stability, MINOLTA has speed, the Sauber is brilliant imo and the Toyota GT-ONE is my personal fave with great acceleration and stability and recovery.
The bottom two are both incredibly light and so feel more like an FGT or X2010 in the way they take corners at speed. On straights these cars aren't always the fastest but the 2J in particular is a must-have car for its cornering ability.

Thats why Id borrow for a while and win tickets to trade for level 23 tickets on here. All level 23 cars cost millions in credits so its up to you lol :)

As i said there's another option and that is to frequent the Tuning forum on here as some members are particularly good at tuning road cars into viable race cars, and often post detailed settings for you to test out. In fact I've just taken two amazing 1080 shots of me doing a 360 on Fuji speedway lol :)
check out my Barcelonic profile on GT5 to see them - i was in a race car that was too stiff and used a member's own tuning details to make a proper race car out of it! :)

edit:
once im added on psn let me know what car you'd like and any settings changed and i'll set it up and share it for you - or even still let me know the race and if i have a 'grinder' - what i call a car that makes a race easy - for it, i'll share it online for ya :)

I didn't touch the Bspec yet, do I have to grow a driver to a certain level to hope winning with this car?

Thank you Barcelonic, much appreciated! I'll add you tonight (I just forgot to add you few days ago). ATM, I want to enjoy the challenge to advance in the career, but when I need a credits "grinder" to get a more serious race car (+1 million) I'll ask you. Thank you again...

Just make a driver and give it a shot. It has been done with low level drivers. Try it once or twice and if anything your bob will gain the levels needed to win.

Just did yesterday, actually lv5 (but's it's soooo boring this Bspec).

Bought my first RM car: bought the Corvette ZR1, RM it and upgraded to 867hp (how can you go to 900hp like I heard for this car?? Now I need to find a good setup because she's a b.tch to drive!

Thank you Towie for the "upgraded" GTR.... ubercar for sure and easy grinder on some pro and expert challenges.

Also bought the Gallardo, upgraded it a bit to win easily the Gallardo challenge: 70.000 creds with the 200%... yeah, baby! ;)

nice one on the gallardo challenge - as for the RM car that looks pretty good huh? next RM the Acura NSX its brill! those two and the RM Golf are the best looking ones i reckon.

still though once RM'd - i wouldnt tune up any further personally. The Corvette can go very fast but as you said without a custom suspension setup it may drive a little rigid and moreso if you push it over 900bhp

Tbh in the end you won't have much use for too many cars over 750pp (unless maybe online if you do that). I ran the RM Corvette ZR on the Indy and was 4 seconds slower than my Viper GTS (Team Oreca) which doesnt even have to release accelerate the whole time

My advice on that - switch to set-up B in settings, set up as per whichever instructions you find, test it out and then test it out again with turbo kit on. You can remname and save each settings slot from A,B & C.
Tuning it up more than the RM is something I wouldn't really do as i think it was essentially designed to be that level by PD for best performance. Sometimes tuning a car up too much can ruin it just be careful - engine tunings cannot be removed

good to hear you're progressing, remember to let me know if you need a car for a race or photo-op

PS. Just in case you didnt know yet, in photo mode with the camera use the Up button on d-pad to chance first the focus then the shutter speed of the shot - hold until it reads 8000, F-45 - then you have the best quality shot you can. (Lower shutter speed for a little blurriness)
Also Square tells the camera which detail to enhance focus on when the pic comes out. Aspect ratio can also be changed to match your display - in the Triangle menu above the filters. :)
