NIN-The Downward Spiral
 
Lateralus doesn't actually suck. It's just coming after one of the 10 best albums of all times. In comparison to Aenima, it's mediocre, but on it's own, it's pretty good IMHO.

Hey, Zero, what other NIN do you own? Downward Spiral is very good. The Fragile is excellent as well. I've got all of the official "halo" releases, and those two are probably my faves. They are all good, though.
 
I only have Downward Spiral, I plan on buying The Fragile and the Live CD.
 
Zero: hold off on the live CD (And All That Might Have Been). It's a good CD, but if you only own Spiral, go get Pretty Hate Machine and Broken after Fragile...

Right so buy all there non-live cds then buy the live cd?
 
That's my suggestion. The live CD is good but doesn't have anything over the studio pieces.
 
Pretty Hate Machine is NIN's best album, I think.

How can you say Lateralus sucks? Great album, just not as great as Aenima. Still better than nearly everything else that is being released today.

No kidding, that was very hard on the ears, especially with bass boost! Great album, but the lyrics weren't always that good. Shangri-LA-DEE-DA was ignored by their fans, but I thought it was a great album.
