news section on the gran turismo home page

i just visited the gran turismo home page.. and looked at the news page.
and the latest news was that there was coming an update on the 1 of august..
was that last year or is this this year..?
their news section suck big time if they only send news like one time each 6 mnd.

I see the news you read that is from last year as August 1st is a saturday this year, at the top of the page it says "Friday, August 1st"

Last year.. That would be Spec III


Last year Gran Turismo 5 Prologue was released in the USA (well April 15th 2008 to be exact) the Spec 3 update came 6 months later on October 3rd 2008, in the in game news section the date format is day/month/year, So we are within a month from the year anniversary from the US release, hopefully their will be some news or a spec update but im not holding my breath

I guess I don't remembewr too well. But it is coming back to me, that update that no one liked..the Physics change.

Yep, mostly where they made the S tyres grippier, many did like it though as it made cars a little easier and faster to drive.

Spec III came October 3rd.
 
They say Prologue was pushing the limits of how big a PSN download game could be, so GT5 will have to be blu-ray disc only.
