It is not clear about the particular game that first picture represents, but so far it is obvious it is a one of the first in-game pics showing the graphical power of next-gen Microsoft console.

As Xbox360 (still tentative name) should be released toward the end of this year, this pic could easily be new Gotham, or even Forza for next system.

Car shown is the last and best model form TVR - Sagaris - one of the rare car that comes to the public roads as pure racing-breed models.

Other 4 pics are showcasing game "2 Days to Vegas", being developed for both next-gen systems. It seems pretty impossible, but developer team claims that all 3 pics are in-game - not movie-sequence and not renders.

Both looks very nice, have to wait few more days until we'll know what is it for sure.

Where is the bull**** flag? This has been posted under PS2, that its PS2, so we are not sure what system its for, probably PC.

wow!
Unbeliveable

Those pics look like real photos

I remember I saw a pic long ago, that had a Porsche on it and saying that's the pics of next generation console, at that time, that pic looks real, but I can see it's computer graphics

But the above pics just like like photos from real world

I don't beleive it. That yellow car is easily pushing 700K + polys. Theres not way even the next gen consoles will be able to handle that many polys in just one car. Most of them look pre rendered to me.

As XBOX360 has been officialy shown yesterday, first images of games are apperaing.

First section of images shows Atari's Test Drive: Unlimited. TDU will be among the launch titles for X360. It has cars and BIKES!

Notice thet pics are shrinked form 16:9 format into 4:3, so please resize them to enjoy 'em in their sheer beauty. Unfortunately, the game shown so far does not offer detail shown on those pics, but maybe the final product will be better.

Fact sheet for TDU (quaed from official PR material, so take it as a overreacted :))

This set shows grab from promotional-movie for Project Gotham 3.

Notice that grabs are low-quty. Game in motion looks pretty nice, cartoon-felling is still there, but the reflections and details are second.to-none. As Sagaris is blasting trough the streets, the sun is moving on it's rear end in spectacular showcase of lightning-capablities of X360 hardware.

In-cockpit view is a part of replay, but it seems we can expect in-cockpit view for every car in the game.

Probably the best scene is parallel blasting of McLaren where the 21" wheel is sppining in high-speed and reflections are blasting over the monoque. The crowd shown is moving as cars are passing, so that is another standard that we can expect in games.

All grabs are from replay, and PGR3 is also an launch title.

with all this new talk about the Xbox 360, has there been any mention of reverse compatibility (aka being able to play original xbox games on 360) ?

Well I heard at computerandvideogames.com that it would. But it was probably unconfirmed rumours.
