Next Generation Mercedes SL in camo

In one sentence it says the car was always a heavyweight (and it was), and in the next sentence it says it is going back to its roots.

Gosh they FINALLY moved on! I was thinking the 5th gen was going to be here forever :lol:
Looking forward to this but I wonder what design they are going to do because the SL used to evoke the old gullwing but now the SLS does that. It looks like its following the CLS design from the camo shots.

i like the look of the fifth gen, but yeah its time they move on

It was a nice looking car but I wasn't a fan of the facelift so much (especially those curves on the headlight clusters because they didn't change the bonnet mould :yuck:). I feel it was more about selling what was in essence an 8 year old car for the prices they were asking that didn't really make sense.

It has been on sale for the shortest amount of time out of all of the SL-class generations, and it is still basically the class leader in the segment. I don't see the problem.
