Once I found the Nismo 400R I was in love. I've raced it for everything it qualifies for and it's my tuning car of choice. But with money burning a hole in pocket and the knowledge that there must be a better, faster, tighter turning car out there I'm faced with the dillema of find it. I've won the Racing Z what must be 100 times now, but I've always sold it without racing it.

Can anyone that loves the 400R tell me what other 4-wheel drive Japanese cars they also enjoy driving? Preferably one that will outdue the 400R.
 
ZZ-II. handles like F1, accelerates faster than F1, and is among fastest mid-engined, turbocharged AWD cars. 👍
 
For those of you who don't know what car he's talking about, it's the Tommy Kaira ZZII and it is seriously a blast to drive. It is now my new favorite car. By a long shot.

Well, the euphoria was short-lived. It didn't take long to realize this car is good for one thing. Long straight tracks with few laps. It's nearly impossible to keep this thing on the ground. It's just too damn light.
 
check out for settings for it with search-thingie.. it's all about suspension tuning. atleast, mine doesn't eat tires too fast. and, of course the driving style has it's effect too. I'll try to find my settings for it. be patient and soon you'll destroy everything on the track with it.

edit: here's my settings for track for fully tuned ZZ-II:
spring rate: 15.0/ 12.5
ride height: 60/80
damper bounce: 10/10
damper rebounce: 5/5
camber: 2.5/0.0
toe: 0/0
stabilizer: 7/7

downforce: full
LSD: in-60 acc-60 dec-30 both front and rear.
VCDC: 50%
driving aids: TCS 1
brake controller: 20/24

transmission settings: well, you have to find out those yourself, since i have many settings for different tracks.. the ones that are for testcourse will not fit well on autumn ring.. :crazy: just put auto slider to 18-20 and it'll be fine. I also use medium sports tyres, and they don't wear out any worse than others.. so, I recommend that you'd try adjusting these settings for your driving style. or try the ones in Duck's lair.
 
If you're used to driving Skylines give the Mine's one a try. I can almost guarantee that you'll like it.
 
The ZZII is actually a very driveable car. Understeer is hell-ish, but you have to learn to drive around it. Simply brake early, unsettle the car to rotate it, point in the direction you want to go... and hold on for dear life. :lol:

The Mine's Skyline is the ultimate AWD Skyline. It's pointy and very fast.

Try the R-tune (from the NISMO tuning menu in the Nissan dealership). The R34 Skylines have an inherently less understeery balance than the R33s the 400R is based on, and should be faster than the 400R on a twisty track, even in stock form.
